REALITY HAS LIMITS {sa crafters}

hello scrappy friends!

this is my second project for SA CRAFTERS and i can honestly say that i LOVE their products! the designs, the shapes and the masks - everything works perfectly together and helps you to create your very own masterpiece!

for this layout i decided to work with last summer's pictures of THEO. he is really into the TRANSFORMERS now. the autobots are his heroes and more than everything in this world he would love to meet OPTIMUS PRIME.
when we were on vacation last summer, he found this graffiti on the street (the logo of the decepticons - the evil robots) and his first thought was "look, mommy, they are real!". he was so pleased and excited, and being a 4-year-old this was the only prove he needed to believe that they are walking among us.

"REALITY HAS LIMITS..."

for my layout i used FANCY PANTS DESIGNS "collecting moments" paper line and DCWV "tattered time" mini paper stack. after distressing the edges of the HOMEWORK pattern paper, i mat it onto a black cardstock. using SA CRAFTERS 6x6" brick wall stencil and modelling paste, i created the brick wall pattern on my background. then i stamped the gears pattern using DEEP RED STAMP and spattered TATTERED ANGELS "black olive" GLIMMER GLAZE

after everything has dried, i begin arranging my design. i altered the chipboard bricks {SA CRAFTERS chipboard brick wall no. 2} with VERSAMARK ink and DONNA SALAZAR black embossing powder. i didn't want cover the complete bricks, to give them worn out, distressed look.

i used FLOURISH WITH A BLING bella rhinestone flourishes black to frame one of my pictures and FWAB adhesive rhinestones 100 pack black to decorate my layout.

to embellish my pictures i used various pattern papers from the same collection and die cuts. i die cut a cardstock edge using TIM HOLTZ "scrollwork" on the edge die and i coloured it with RANGER "jet black" archival ink.

i printed the two TRANSFORMERS logos and the title on glossy picture paper and carefully fussy cut them to use them on my page.

and finally i added one of the wooden tags from the SENTIMENTS set 1 just as it was. i think it fits my colour palette perfectly and the saying matches exactly the meaning of my pictures!

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

with this layout i'm entering the FWAB january sketch challenge:

have a fun scrappy week!

MERLY IMPRESSIONS march challenge inspiration

hello scrappy friends!

i would like to share a brand new layout i created for the MERLY IMPRESSIONS’ march “food or my favourite food” challenge.

this month i have the pleasure to create with the amazing “TELEGRAPH ROAD” collection from KAISERCRAFT. the colour combo of this line is stunning and it is perfect for both boys and girls –

"ICE CREAM"

last summer we went to DISNEYLAND in PARIS and as usual during the summer the ice cream was a must. the little ones chose the largest swirly available, but somehow they both ended up eating up ELISE’s one. and as you can see from this picture - she couldn't refuse them, but she was not amused :-)

to create my background i used the mail die-cut glossy paper, which i layered on top of the notes pattern paper. the cute little bird on a branch i stamped with the key to my heart clear stamp set.

before adhering the pattern papers together, i carefully fussy cut the glossy roses from the notes sheet  and using die-cut flowers  and birds from the COLLECTABLES package, i designed the decoration in the two corners of my page. i embossed some of the blossoms and adhered them with mounting tape to achieve a 3-d effect.

i added STICKLES glitter glue to the roses as well.

to embellish my page i used stamped and fussy cut different word banners, using the TELEGRAPH ROAD clear stamps:

die cuts and shapes from the 6 x 6″ paper pad from the same collection

… and stickers from the 12″ sticker sheet.

i added flowers {KAISERCRAFT paper blooms “hot pink” and mini paper blooms “hot pink” and "honey"},

pearls {KAISERCRAFT pearl embellishments rose and chocolate – because of the different size of the pearls, you can create any shape you like with them!} and glitter glue to finish off my design.

for the title i used a canvas alphabet stickers from PRIMA marketing.

here is a list with all the products you can in the MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store:

i hope you liked today's post!

and don’t forget you’ve got until april 2nd, 2014 to add your creation to the gallery under the MERLY IMPRESSIONS march challenge post
we will then choose our favourite layout to win a fantastic prize – a £25.00 voucher to spend on anything you want from the MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store

have a great day!
