something special {KAISERCRAFT & MERLY IMPRESSIONS}

hello scrappy friends!

i've got another KAISERCRAFT layout to share with you today! and because it is still APRIL i used their brand new “all that glitters” collection, available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS’ online store

"SOMETHING SPECIAL"

for the background i used the GOLDEN FLOWERS foil paper. to give it more colour i used KAISERCOLOUR PAINT – pretty pink and the new KAISERMIST SPRAY INKSantique gold.

the white bubble edges i made with TEXTURE PASTE and TIM HOLTZ’ layering stencil – bubble. when the paste and the paint were dry i stamped butterflies using KAISERCRAFT butterflies clear stamp and KAISERCARFT mini ink pad – black.

to embellish the picture i used die cuts from the PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack matching the ALL THAT GLITTERS collection. i inked the edges of the die cuts with mini ink pad VINTAGE.

to collect all the glossy butterflies i used a pattern sheet from the PAPER PAD and the GOLDEN BUTTERFLIES foil paper to fussy cut some of them and i also picked a few die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack. i shaped all butterflies with the embossing tool and adhered them to my projects using mounting foam tape and mounting foam dots.

the sticker sayings are from the 12″ sticker sheet. i used a golden pen to outline them.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

 have a wonderful scrappy afternoon!

you are FABULOUS {MERLY IMPRESSIONS & KAISERCRAFT}

hello everybody!

cou believe that it is APRIL already? and the spring is coming even in HOLLAND! :-) but the best of all is that in this month of flowers, butterflies and blossoming trees, i’ll have the pleasure to work with one of KAISERCRAFT most amazing collections “ALL THAT GLITTERS” available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS

 and here is my first layout -

"YOU ARE FABULOUS"

on the picture is my little angel ELISE after her professional ballet photo shoot. this year was really heavy for her. she needed A+ grades on her state exams and unique performance at the audition for the school she wanted to go to. and she DID it! she got in!

meet the newest student of the ROYAL CONSERVATORY for music and dance in THE HAGUE!
we are so proud with her! she is indeed FABULOUS!
 for my background i used the GLOSS pattern paper, which altered with gesso and the new KAISERMIST spray inkspink, red and antique gold.

to create the layers under my picture i used glossy golden paper from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad from the same collection. then i fussy cut pink vertical stripe from a different pattern paper and decorated it with golden zig-zag edges (from CHEVRON glitter paper).

the lovely peonies i fussy cut from CHEVRON and GLOW pattern paper from the same collection. to shape the flowers i used an embossing tool and then i adhered them with mounting foam tape to my project.

the die cut sayings and quotes are from the COLLECTABLES pack and the 12″ sticker sheet. i used mounting foam tape and mounting foam dots to put them in place.

for the glossy butterflies i used a pattern sheet from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad and a few die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack.

to finish off my layout i added rhinestones soft pink.

 i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

have an amazing day!

mixed-media card with chippies and stencils {SA CRAFTERS}

good morning lovelies!

it is time for my monthly project for SA CRAFTERS and i've prepared a brand new creation + a video tutorial to share!

this time i decided to create an every occasion card for my best friend! i haven't seen her in awhile and i believe a hand-made card is the perfect way to send my regards and best wishes to her!

so, here it is - a mixed-media card for your best friend:

for my background i used 10 x 15 cm white card base, which i altered with SA CRAFTERS 6x6" triangle stencil and black ink, and TIM HOLTZ brown distress ink.

for my second layer i was wondering between mint and black, but at the end i decided that though mint will add an extra colour to my colour palette, black look much better with my vintage-industrial design.

for the third, and the final paper layer, i used pattern paper from the 6 x 6" paper pad from KAISERCRAFT antique bazaar collection.

to give extra dimension to my project, i used SA CRAFTERS chevron mix sides stencil with white texture paste and the fancy flowers stencil with black ink. to finish off my background i sprinkled TATTERED ANGELS "bahama blue" glimmer mist and "black olive" glimmer glaze on top.

to alter the gear wheels (SA CRAFTERS chipboard gears pack) i used VERSAMARK watermark stamp pad and CLEARSNAP black embossing powder.

then i applied the same combination for the square chipboard frame. the die cut sentiment and the clock faces come from KAISERCRAFT antique bazaar collectables pack.

and here is a step-by-step YOUTUBE video tutorial:

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

have a FABULOUS week!
