live for the moment {MERLY IMPRESSIONS & KAISERCRAFT}

hello crafty friends!

it is the end of AUGUST {where did the summer go, right?} and it is time for my latest post MERLY IMPRESSIONS. for today i’ve prepared a pink and girly layout using the amazing KAISERCRAFT's FLY FREE collection {available at the MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}.

"LIVE FOR THE MOMENT"

my layout is inspired by KAISERCRAFT august sketch challenge:

to create my background i used PARTNER pattern paper, which i altered with GESSO and KAISERMIST spray ink ANTIQUE GOLD

to mat my picture i used a slightly bigger dark brown rectangle made of KAISERCARD coffee bean weave cardstock. for the layers under the picture i used different colours pattern papers from the mini PAPER PAD. i ruffled their edges with PAPER DISTRESSER and adhered them with MOUNTING FOAM TAPE

to decorate my picture further i used die cuts from the PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack and fussy cut butterflies and birds from the BOND gloss paper.

i even added a little pink butterfly in my niece hair, because she is so cute and pink :-)

and a lot more butterflies and RHINESTONES silver to my background. i slightly embossed the butterflies and adhered them with MOUNTING FOAM TAPE.

to finish off my design i added die cut blossoms and a few paper flowers – paper blooms HOT PINK and mini paper blooms – COCONUT.

i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

have an amazingly creative and a very happy week!

then i stamped the grassy border with TIM HOLTZ embossing ink pad and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.

 to die cut the frame i used SPELLBINDERS floral ovals die and silver cardstock.

two cards with FLY FREE {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello crafty peeps!

today is my turn over at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog. as you know this month i have the pleasure to work with KAISERCRAFT's FLY FREE collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}. and i can’t get enough of it! the colours are simply amazing and the butterflies and the birds are to die for!

here is what i’ve prepared for you today:

*****

“YOU MAKE ME SMILE”

to create the base for my card i used KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock – 15 x 21 cm, which i folded in two. i used the mini PAPER PAD and SISTER pattern paper to create the colourful layers.

i fussy cut the white printed rectangle from the SISTER pattern paper and used TIM HOLTZ picked raspberry distress ink to ink its edges. to distress it even further i used KAISERMIST ink sprays – PINK, RED and ANTIQUE GOLD. then i adhered it to a slightly larger rectangle made of KAISERCARD coffee bean weave cardstock using double sided tape

for the flowers, the birds and the butterflies i used fussy cut elements from the mini PAPER PAD and die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack. i embossed the different elements and adhered them with MOUNTING foam tape to my card.

 *****

“YOU MAKE LIFE BEAUTIFUL”

for the base of this card i used KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock – 15 x 21 cm, which i folded in two. i used TIM HOLTZ picked raspberry distress ink to ink its edges. then i added a layer of KAISERCARD coffee bean weave cardstock and a pink pattern layer {from the mini PAPER PAD}. to adhere all the layers i used double sided tape and MOUNTING foam tape

for my sentiment and the large butterflies i used die cut images from the COLLECTABLES pack

to finish off my design i added a few paper flowers – PAPER BLOOMS hot pink and mini PAPER BLOOMS – coconut and white lace.

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

a SMILE is CONTAGIOUS {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello crafty friends!

it is AUGUST already and today i would like to share a layout i created for MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog. this month i got to work with the most amazing collection from KAISERCRAFT's newest release – FLY FREE {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' online store}.

"a SMILE is CONTAGIOUS"

to create my background i used KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock, which i layered on GAL PAL pattern paper. before adhering the two layers i used a PRIMA marketing mask and TIM HOLTZ distress ink pads {SHABBY SHUTTERS and PICKED RASPBERRY} to create the flowery pattern. then i stamped the edge using KAISERCRAFT ink pad BARK and CLEAR STAMP film edges, and ruffled the edges with PAPER DISTRESSER.

to finish the design of my background i stamped the small butterflies from the FLY FREE collection stamp set and added the leafy sticker border from the 12″ STICKER sheet.

to frame my picture i used pattern papers and die cuts from the mini PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack.

the large butterflies i fussy cut from the BOND gloss paper and altered them with STICKLES glitter glue – STAR DUST.

the birds corner is also from the BOND gloss paper. i embossed the birds and adhered them with MOUNTING foam tape.

 for my title i used fussy cut words from the BESTIE pattern paper.

to finish off my design i added a few paper flowers – paper blooms HOT PINK and mini paper blooms – COCONUT.

here is a list with most of the products used on my layout:

i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

have a lovely creative month!
