it's the little things {DT work for scrapbook challenges}

hello scrappy friends!

i've got a brand new layout to share with you:

"it's the little things"

this layout is based on SKETCH 310 from scrapbook challenges:

i flipped the sketch a bit to be able to use these pictures of little baby THEO {i know, i know... he is not a baby anymorem but i really would like him to be:-)}

i used the amazing "little boy" paper collection from ECHO PARK.

first i began stamping my background frame with DYLUSIONS "inbetweenies" stamp set and then i used the crafter's workshop "gears" mask with different shades of green and blue {panpastels} to create the pattern in the middle.

i used different pattern papers to create the base for my pictures. the green stripes are cut with TIM HOLTZ'  "washer border" die. i cut the train from the pattern paper.

the banner is stamped with DYLUSIONS "further around the edge" stamp set. the circles are stamped with "around the edge" set.

for the title i used TIM HOLTZ' "good thoughts" stamp set. i stamped the sentiment few times on white cardstock to be able to separate the different lines.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

and i can't wait to see your creations in SC gallery!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy

 for my CHRISTMAS TREE i used stripes from different pattern papers {HC frosty blanket paper collection paper pad}. then i cut the ornaments from gold color cardstock and shaped my pictures ti fit inside the frames. i used pictures from our christmas tree decoration from CHRISTMAS 2009 - when my little baby boy THEO was born.

mixed media canvas "winter" {DT work for heartfelt creations}

hello scrappy friends!

today i've got a mixed media project to share with you. i used HEARTFELT CREATIONS' ornamental light collection to create this canvas

"WINTER"

heartfelt creations products used on this project:

i begun by covering a 28 x 30 cm canvas with gesso. then i colored it with TIM HOLTZ “weathered wood” distress ink pad. to create the background frame i used the following HC stamp sets: HC holiday haven set and HC shabby chic lace set – with brown ink pad and HC holiday haven set, HC broken cinder blocks set and HC tattered background set with red and blue ink.

i stamped the note sheet from HC book frame 1 set in the middle of the canvas. then using the crafter’s workshop "wood grain" and "circle explosion" masks with modeling paste i created the dimensional pattern on the canvas. after it was dry i gave a bit of colour to some of the white dots with PANPASTEL hansa yellow tint.  i cut the lamp post, the green swirls and the poinsettias from pattern paper; colored the flowers with COPIC CIAO markers and to finish them off added a bit of glitter in the middle.

for the birdies i used blue pattern paper, brown ink, stamp and die cut three small birds {HC brookside manor set and HC garden romance die} and add them to the canvas.

the doll i sketched first and then cut out the different elements from HC frosty blanket paper collection. if you are interested in my sketch CLICK HERE - you are welcome to print it off and create your own paper doll.

 i've copied the sketch as many times as i needed to cut out all different shapes. then i outlined the ready elements on pattern paper and cut them out. some i glued upside down on the pattern paper {the smaller elements} to make sure that i’ll have the right size.

when the dress elements were ready, i stamped the swirl from HC holiday haven set with versamark “watermark “ ink and added embossing powder to create a glimmer pattern. then i distressed the edges with brown ink and begun assembling the paper doll. once it was glued on the canvas, i added the little poinsettias {cut out from the patter paper} and the PRIMA flower center pearl to decorate the dress.

i die cut the little snowflakes with spellbinders “create a flake 1” die and the corner with HC decorative butterfly / border die from glittery paper.

thank you for taking the time to visit me!

imagine {DT work for scrapbook challenges}

hello scrappy friends!

i recently acquired a PRIMA marketing cd with digital elements. its really fantastic! there are so many different digital elements to choose from and it is so easy to use them. i altered my picture with one of the frames and i absolutely LOVE the result.

i used sketch #308 from scrapbook challenges as a basis for my layout:

i started with white cardstock, TIM HOLTZ tattered rose distress ink pad and a lot of stamps:-)

after i was done stamping, i begun fussy cutting. PRIMA's  fairy belle collection is perfect for creating your own embellishments - there are so many pretty elements, so many lovely fairies, that it is difficult to choose from.

i added RANGER tattered rose distress stickles to give a bit of colour to the berries.

i used the newest FWAB release - the ELISE flourish silver - for the nice swirls:

i covered the resin mushrooms with a mixture of GESSO and GLIMMER GLAM "paprika" - the result is soft colour with a touch of glitter.

i really like these sentiments:

the title letters i stamped on pink cardstock, cut out and layered with glitter glue:

the chipboard note element is covered with gesso as well:

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

have a lovely week!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy
