enjoy yourself {scrapbook challenges}

hello scrappy friends!

i've got a new project to share with you today and this one is based on the latest sketch from SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES -

- ENJOY YOURSELF -

and here is sketch #348:

and here are some close ups from my project:

this time i decided to use pattern paper for my background - not my usual style and therefore extra challenging for me. i added dimensional flowers with FABER-CASTELL design memory craft GESSO {i added a few layers with my palette knife} and DONNA DOWNEY "poppies and peonies - mix 5" mask. i coloured the flowers with FABER-CASTELL design memory craft Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils - yelloe and smudged the colour a bit with my fingers.

the chippie is from a bulgarian manufacturer. i covered it with TIM HOLTZ "mustard seed" crackle paint and added two green rhinestones from BO BUNNY surprise collection bling.

the FAMILY chippie is from PRIMA "fairy belle collection" chipboard stickers.

i used SIZZIX "regal edging" strip die and some lace to decorate my page. for the blue birds i used THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "mini flying geese" template and FABER-CASTELL design memory craft Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils - blue

i fussy cut the circles by hand using the pattern on one of the collection papers as template. i inked the edges with FABER-CASTELL design memory craft Stamper's Big Brush - brown. i doodled the faux stitches with  FABER-CASTELL design memory craft Journaling PITT® Artist Pens

most of the butterflies i fussy cut from the pattern paper. for the background i used also KAISERCRAFT texture clear stamp with Stamper's Big Brush

here is a list with some of the products i used on this page:

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

come back soon as i have a little surprise for you! :-)

kaboodle doodles challenge #175 & Bo Bunny

hello crafty friends!

its monday and it is time for another challenge at KABOODLE DOODLES

this week the theme is "for your FAVOURITE guy"!

and here is a little bit of inspiration from me:

i used Bo Bunny's "timepiece" collection and various embossing and cutting dies.

after i embossed the white cardstock, i coloured the embossed elements with TIM HOLTZ'  "tea dye" and "vintage photo" distress ink pad.

i stamped my sentiment on BO BUNNY pattern paper, using TIM HOLTZ' distress ink and "going somewhere" cling stamp set.

if you wish to see more of the FANTASTIC projects the design team have created, visit KABOODLE DOODLES' blog.

the sponsor this week is DI'S DIGIS DOWNLOADS and the winner will receive a $10 voucher to spend in their store.

and remember, your projects need to be posted by sunday, june 16, 2013 under KABOODLE DOODLES' blog post and the winners will be announced on tuesday, june 18, 2013.

i'm playing with this card at the month card challenge at BO BUNNY. this month's challenge is to create a MASCULINE or a FATHER'S DAY card.

at the beach {FABER-CASTELL & DIE-VERSIONS}

hello scrappy friends!

today i would like to share one of my recent projects featuring the AMAZING FABER-CASTELL design memory craft products and the NEWEST DIE-VERSIONS release "life's a beach" -

"AT THE BEACH"

you've probably already noticed my passion for tailor made, hand painted background papers. today i want to show you how to use art GRIP® aquarelle watercolor pencils, paper crafter crayons™ and stamper's big brush pens to create one of a kind, perfectly fit for your pictures background.

here is a short tutorial i wrote for you:

step 1: you need a white cardstock 12 x 12", THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "hexagons" doodling template, Art GRIP® aquarelles: YELLOW (#770111), water and a brush.

trace the design from the template on to the white cardstock. then use a wet paintbrush to brush over your design to achieve the watercolor effect.

step 2: outline some of the hexagons with matching colors paper crafter crayons™ : RED/YELLOW to give extra depth to your project.

step 3: use matching colors stamper's big brush pens: RED (#770050) to stamp different images to your background.

i used an old INKADINKADO clear stamp for the sea creatures. for the water bubbles i used FLOURISH WITH A BLING "adhesive rhinestones 100 pack - silver", which i coloured with PITT® Artist Pens: RED/YELLOW (#770076) - orange.

to embellish my layout i used BO BUNNY "sun kissed" paper collection and the new JUNE 2013 release from DIE-VERSIONS "life's a beach".

i cut the lovely sand castle with the new WHISPERS "sand castle" die. i layered the die cut on a yellow pattern paper to create a dimensional embellishment. the cute crabs are from the same release - SWEET PETITES "crab". i coloured his body with paper crafter crayons™.

i arranged some of the cardstock sticker words and phrases on a few stripes of green washi tape.

for my title i used another die from the JUNE 2013 release - cute cubes "life is better at the beach"

the fishes are from the INKADINKADO clear stamp set as well.

i doodled the clouds and added the punched border to my design.

the shell is cut with another die from the JUNE 2013 release - WHISPERS "scalloped shell". i cut it in two and added it next to my pictures.

here is a list with some of the products i used:

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

have a wonderful weekend!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy
