mixed media canvas "summer" {DT work for heartfelt creations}

hello crafty friends!

while ago i begun creating mixed media canvas for HEARTFELT CREATIONS. my idea was to pictrue all four seasons through their stamps, cutting dies and paper collections.

and today i would like to share the last season-canvas with you -

VINTAGE SUMMER

heartfelt creations products used on this project:

 i began by covering a 28 x 30 cm canvas with gesso. then i colored it with TIM HOLTZ distress ink pads – mix light green, blue, pink, violet and dark purple to match the colors of the pattern papers.

to create the stamped frame i used the following HC stamp sets: HC shabby chic lace set, HC vintage floret bouquet set, HC broken cinder blocks set and HC tattered background set with different color ink pads.

then i stamped the cracked background from HC tattered background set in the middle of the canvas with light blue ink and colored the leaves with green distress markers.

i used THE CRAFTER'S  WORKSHOP "mini harlequin" mask with modeling paste to create a dimensional pattern in the middle of my canvas.

for the doll i used my sketch {you can download it HERE}, HC vintage floret paper collection and brown cardstock.

i printed the sketch few times on a normal paper and cut out all the different elements. then i outlined the doll parts on the pattern paper and cut them out, or - the really small elements - i glued them upside down to the pattern paper of my choice and cut them out. i used this method to make sure that i’ll have the right size.

i distressed the edges of the ready pieces with black ink and begun assembling my paper doll. once it was glued to the canvas, i added glitter and the PRIMA markeing flower center pearl to decorate the dress.

the little blossoms on the dress are made from bluish pattern paper using the HC open vintage floret set and HC vintage floret die. to finish them off i added rhinestone flower in the middle.

then i fussy cut the branch with blue blossoms from the pattern paper. i stamped and cut three blossoms from white cardstock, coloured them with pink PANPASTEL, embossed the petals and added them to my canvas.

the sentiment is cut from pattern paper. i glued it on a brown cardstock, cut two decorative corners with HC decorative butterfly/border die, embellished them with rhinestones and added them at the top and at the bottom of the sentiment piece.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

then i die cut the cuckoo clock from dark brown cardstock and pattern paper, colored the embossed parts with a brown distress marker and added rhinestones to embellish it.

for the vintage blossoms i used HC open vintage floret precut set, HC vintage floret die, white cardstock, panpastels and black ink. i added 3d adhesive tape between the layers to give extra volume to the blossoms and attached them together with a pearl brad.

to finish off the card i stamped and die cut the rose leaves {HC leaf medley precut set and foliage shapeabilities} from greenish pattern paper, embossed and  arranged them around the flowers.

boys will be boys {DT work for FWAB}

hello scrappy friends!

today i've got a very special project to share with you

"boys will be boys"

these pictures were taken last summer with our little BOYZONE babies:-)

on the picture is little THEO {my baby} with IVAN and MISHO {from my besties}. they were born just a few months apart and who knows may be one day they will be best friends too:-)

for this layout i used ECHO PARK "little boy" collection - i just love the bright vibrant colours and the cute embellishments of this paper line. it's perfect for little boys.

i started by adding colour to a white cardstock with PANPASTELS. after i was done, i stamped the corner with TIM HOLTZ stamp and added dots with a brown paint dabber from RANGER. in the middle i added a pearl from flourish with a bling colour teal and olive green.

the relief pattern on the cardstock is made with TCW mask and modelling paste. i coloured the waves with panpastels.

for the gear i used TIM HOLTZ "gadget gears" die. i cut few of each wheel, layered the same size gears together to get a chipboard effect and covered them with gesso. after they were dry, i added colour with TIM HOLTZ crackle paint and distress ink pads.

the blue swirl is from FLOURISH WITH A BLING "chloe pearl flourish blue".

i used many DYLUSIONS stamps to decorate my page

the cute ribbon with cars is from K & COMPANY. i shaped the pattern paper edge with MARTHA STEWART "stars" edge punch.

i colored the DYLUSIONS stamp with TIM HOLTZ distress markers.

i hope you liked today's post.

i created this layout as an example for the monthly challenge at FLOURISH WITH A BLING "bling it on boys". you still have about a week to join in and to get a chance to win an amazing prize from FWAB.

i hope to see your creations in FWAB gallery.

winter wonderland mini album {DT work for PaperHaus}

hello scrappy friends!

i've got something very different to share with you today.

usually i'm not a big fan of mini-albums, but with the holidays closing in and a very very sentimental grandma, i thought a mini album with all grand children will be the perfect gift for my mother!

so, here it is - my very first mini album -

"winter wonderland"

products used:
TILDA“winter memories” paper pad
RANGER “coffee” archival ink pad
RANGER stickles “star dust” and “copper” glitter glue
white snow puff pen
gesso
tattered angels glimmer glam “paprika”
PRIMA marketing Resin Mushrooms
PRIMA marketing clear stamps
the crafter’s workshop “circle explosion” mask

i began by covering the edges of the cardstock sheets with gesso. after it dried i stamped the text with brown ink and distressed the edges with the same color.

i covered the cardstock sheets with pattern paper from TILDA’s "winter memories" collection. for the front cover i used different die cuts from the paper pad. i embossed them, embellished them with glitter glue and layered them with 3d tape.

for the back cover i used darker patter paper and the crafter's workshop mask with modeling paste.

for the inner page i used a picture of the three cousins {my THEO and ELISE and WILLY - my sister's}.

i covered the PRIMA resins with a mixture of gesso with glimmer glam. after the first layer was dry i applied a coat of glimmer glam only to match the paper collection palette.

i added white puff paint to the branches to make them look like they are covered with snow.

i've only 3 pages done so far. but there is still plenty of time... i keep telling myself:-)

i hope you liked my mini-album.

i promise to finish it and post the rest of the pages before christmas!

have an amazing week!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy

dream {DT work for scrapbook challenges}

good evening scrappy friends,

today i've got a brand new layout to share with you. i based it on sketch 317 from SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES

"dream"

for the title i used TIM HOLTZ movers & shapers magnet die "dream". i cut it from cardboard, covered it with gesso and colored it with panpastels.

i did a lot of fussy cutting and layering on this layout

the paper are from WEBSTER'S PAGES "palm beach" paper collection. i added rhinestones and glitter for extra glimmer and glam:-)

i stamped the picture with TIM HOLTZ' "postcards" stamp set with watermark ink and then i added embossing powder to get the glittery 3d effect.

the cute fishes i stamped with INKADINKADO tropical fishes clear stamp. the sentiment comes from TIM HOLTZ' "good thoughts" rubber stamps.

i covered the compass needle with copper enamel, but left the compass unpainted.

here is the sketch i was working with:

once upon a time {DT work for Paper Haus}

good evening scrappy friends!

i'm so excited about today's post!

i would like to share with you my FIRST project as a design team member for PAPERHAUS magazine - an amazing quarterly publication for scrapbook, mixed media projects and all things crafty!

so, here it is -

"once upon a WINTER time"

i really love this picture of my little princess ELISE.
we live in holland and she doesn't get to see much snow, so every time when we are back in my home country - bulgaria - she is truly enjoying every single snowflake!

i thought that "winter fairy tales" collection from WEBSTER'S PAGES will be just perfect for my page. and i guess i was right:-) i love the little fairies and the pastel colours of this release.

to create my background i used PanPastels together with TATTERED ANGELS screen prints clear stamps “CHILLIN” and glimmer screens “WINTER CRYSTALS”. i created my fairy street with RANGER dylusions rubber stamps “right up your street”. to add extra glimmer and glam i used FLOURISH WITH A  BLING “grace pearl flourish teal”.

as usual i did a lot of fussy cutting, embossing and playing with these amazing papers.

the pine trees i made with TIM HOLTZ "pine tree" die. i coloured them with PANPASTELS and added puffy paint to give them snowy look and feel.

for the title i used a snippet from one of the pattern papers.

to complete the fairy tale look i thought of adding some pink horses. i used the wonderful chocolate baroque “carousel horses” stamp set.

i'm off to my scrappy desk now!
