SPARKLE 'n SPRINKLE april release party

hello scrappy friends!

and welcome to SPARKLE N SPRINKLE's april 1st reveal.

this month 5 new stamp sets are being introduced. until april 3rd, the sets will be available with 20% off their regular price.
the april showers stamp set is available on cling mounted rubber, as a digital image, and is also included in jazzy jill's technique video for the month.

here is a bit of inspiration from me:


i used the lovely april showers #555P7 stamp set to create my card.

here are some close ups:

to create the 3d effect on my card, i stamped the image twice on white cardstock. the base one i coloured with copic ciao markers and SNS jasper blue microfine velvet glitter [GM2012] for the rain drops.

then i fussy cut the cute umbrellas and colour them with SNS jasper blue microfine velvet glitter [GM2012] and SNS peruvian lily velvet glitter [GM2014]. i removed the excessive glitter and adhered them with 3d foam squares to my card.


i used different SPELLBINDERS dies to create the layers on my card. i used white cardstock, pattern paper and my own tailor made glitter paper.

i adhered 2 1/2″ double sided “tear-ific tape” to a sheet of white cardstock and die cut the smaller frame with SPELLBINDERS "timeless rectangles" die. then i removed the protective layer and covered it with SNS peruvian lily velvet glitter [GM2014].


i stamped my sentiments on white cardstock and fussy cut the banner shapes by hand. then i dipped their edges in VERSAMARK ink and heat embossed them with SNS antiquities embossing powder [EP266].

the new SNS creative challenge also begins today, with lots of prizes and recognition badges. this month, if you use a SPARKLE N SPRINKLE image in your challenge project, not only will you become a featured artist, but your name will be entered in a separate drawing for 3 ultra fine glitters and/or embossing powders.

ZVA creative march DT blog hop

hello scrappy friends! 

ZVA CREATIVE and our talented design team welcome you to our march blog hop!

i'm also GUEST designer this month at BERRY71BLUE.

i used the very vintage PRIMA markeing stitched papers, flowers from PRIMA and bloomers from WEBSTER'S PAGES and of course the amazing ZVA CREATIVE olive/lime swirls and rhinestone leaves.

to embellish my layout i used ZVA creative "flourish lime/olive crystal"...


... and ZVA creative "imagine - olive/lime crystal" leaves. i really loved working with this sparkly swirly leaves, because the design is so versatile and you can arrange them any way you like!



i used a lot of different PRIMA marketing resist canvas die cuts, which i coloured with TIM HOLTZ "crushed olive" distress ink.


for my title i used PRIMA's canvas alphabet stickers brown.



the pretty green flowers and all the roses are from PRIMA marketing. the large ribbon bloomers are from WEBSTER'S PAGES - i believe that they compliment each other perfectly on my page. 


as i mentioned above, i used PRIMA marketing stitched paper for my layout. to create the design around my picture, i carefully fussy cut the stitched frame and added a few layers of PRIMA journalling cards under it.


for the hearts i used left overs mulberry paper {from the middle of the frame]. i stamped the vintage pattern with SOMETHING TATTERED "parlor vintage wallpaper" background stamp and VERSAMARK ink, and then i heat embossed the paper using SPARKLE N SPRINKLE "sage" embossing powder.

after the paper has cooled down, i die cut the hearts using TIM HOLTZ movers and shapers "mini hearts set" die. i layered them with 3d tape and added a stripe of ZVA creative basic lines crystal - clear 0.2cm in the middle of the small heart.

hello sunshine {MERLY IMPRESSIONS & KAISERCRAFT}

hello scrappy friends!

today's project features the new KAISERCRAFT "telegraph road" collection, which you can find at the MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store.



for my background  used the telegraph road memo pattern paper. to add extra texture i altered it with various KAISERCRAFT stamps - in the corners i used the timeless postmarks clear stamp…


... the KAISERCRAFT journey clear stamp in the left corner...


... and the honeycomb and the decorative tape pieces clear stamps.


to embellish my layout i used various die cut elements - i used mostly MARIANNE design dies, and paper flowers - KAISERCRAFT paper blooms "hot pink" and mini paper blooms "coconut". 


i also used fussy cut images from the TELEGRAPH ROAD 6 x 6" paper pad and die cuts from the COLLECTABLE package. 


i fussy cut the banners from pattern paper and doodles their edges.


KAISERCRAFT "knowing you" clear stamp is perfect to add an extra sentiment to your page.
