fun with flairs and chippies {CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS}

hello crafty friends!

i just love to play with the amazing products from CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS!

this week i’ve decided to go with colorful paper and “naked” chippies! 

and here is the result -

"TODAY"

to create my layout i used KAISERCRAFT blubelle collection {MERLY IMPRESSIONS}. as you can see the paper and the die cuts are so colorful, that i really didn't need to add any color to my chippies. 

i used the frond set 2 chippies as a base to the corner decoration of my picture.

the wonderful metal leaves and corners i got as a present from the amazingly sweet fellow design team member DORIS WIDDER - THANK you, DORIS! i really love them!

to frame the sentiment i used as a title, i used CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' steampunk gear clock 3 chippie and the butterfly flair set.

and finally i added the large frame from the film strip picture frame set and a lot of die cuts, to finish off my design.

mixed media card {CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS}

hello chippie lovers!

i've got another project over at the CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' blog today  - a MIXED MEDIA card -

i really enjoyed playing with the beautiful CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' chippies and rubber stamps, while creating this card. their designs are so versatile and it makes them perfect for every type of project!

to create my background i used THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP masking template and TIM HOLTZ distress ink pad. after the ink has dried, i stamped the pattern using CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS’ distressed chicken wire stamp and circles stamp with black, green and blue ink.

for my frame i used CE fancy rectangle frame set – the smaller chippie. i altered it with a layer of SPARKLE N SPRINKLE's white detail embossing powder first and then i coloured it with SAGE EP351 embossing powder.

i die cut the black frame with SPELLBINDERS die and for my sentiment i used TIM HOLTZ' clear stamp.

to finish off my design i added white and blue pearls.

color combo challenge #251

hello crafty friends! 

the new color combo #251 is LIVE!

the colors this month are pink - blush - onyx - rose - olive and here is what i came up with - 

"FOREVER & EVER" 

 i based my layout on color combo #251: fade into you

i used all five colours from the colour palette on my card. my creative boost came from inspiration photo #4: focus on theme: wedding/marriage. other inspiration: inspiration photo #1: pink roses {idea: rose pattern}; inspiration photo #2: typewriter font (idea: typewriter); inspiration photo #4: pearls {idea: pearl necklace};

and here are some close ups from my project:
 i started with a white cardstock and a added a hint of pink colour using FABER-CASTELL gelatos, which i mixed with water. when the cardstock has dried, i doodled the onyx frame around it and adhered it onto the pink card base.

for my sentiment i used WEBSTER'S PAGES "in love" collection. i die cut the frame using paper from the same collection and SPELLBINDERS "floral ovals" die.

i cut the pink doily with SPELLBINDERS "picot edge circles" die. then i added pink and rose coloured paper roses on top of it. i die cut the leaves with HEARTFELT CREATIONS HCD718 decorative chateau gate die.

to write the word LOVE i used PRIMA marketing clear stamp with onyx coloured ink pad. i fussy cut the different letters and adhered them with mounting tape to my card.

creative embellishments july challenge

hello creative friends! 

i can't believe it is JULY already and we are half way through this year!

where did the time go?...

and since it is the beginning of the month, it’s time for CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' monthly challenge! 

this month we are having a combined challenge with the gals over at PAPER WINGS PRODUCTIONS. we have our usual inspiration picture 

and the twist is to dry or heat emboss something on your project. please, let us know in your post how our picture inspired your project.

and here is what i came up with - 

"#ME"

when i saw the inspiration picture for this month challenge, i immediately thought “exotic, tropical, adventure”. so, i decided to use a picture from my trip to INDIA and NEPAL, where i'm swimming with elephants in their own environment - an unforgettable experience for me! 

for my background i used CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' circles stamp and distressed moroccan stamp. 

i added extra dimension with gesso and a masking template. when the gesso has dried, i repeated the stars pattern with a blue distress ink. 

to complete my background design, i added the fancy corners using SPARKLE N SPRINKLE black detail [EP171] embossing powder and GLITZ DESIGN clear stamps. 

to embellish my picture i used CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' social hash tags chipboard set...

and view master set of 5 chipboard set. i altered the #ME title with SNS black detail [EP171] embossing powder and the picure wheel from the view master set of 5 with SNS brown embossing powder.

to finish off my design i added various travel related metal trinkets...

paper flowers and pearls.
