a fond farewell {CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS}

hello crafty friends!

today is my last post for CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS! i’m so grateful for my time as a CE design team member! i really loved working with NICOLLE’s wonderful designs and being able to create side by side with the most amazing and talented fellow designers!

so, i've decided to create a shabby chic – steam punk for this post in honour of the two of my favourite chippies, designed by CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS:

to create my card i used PRIMA marketing EPIPHANY collection and ATC cards.

the gorgeous butterfly comes from CE butterflies set. i altered the chippie with RANGER pink embossing powder first and then i added the onyx decoration using LIQUID PEARLS.

to give the steam punk effect i used various sizes gear wheels. i used CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS’ gears 11/2″ and gears 1″ sets. i altered the chippies with a brown embossing powder.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

make sure to visit CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' blog regularly since the new design team will make their debut very soon!
have a crafty week!

HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers OCTOBER blog hop

hello HEARTFELT CREATIONS friends!

and WELCOME to the HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers OCTOBER blog hop!

with the holiday season approaching fast, there is nothing better to create than CHRISTMAS cards, of course:

for the base of my card i used a vintage CHRISTMAS collection from MAKING MEMORIES. i altered the front part using HCPC3473 tattered background precut set with brown ink.

then i stamped the evergreen branch from the HCPC3490 holiday mail precut set onto a green shimmering cardstock and fussy cut the image. i added it to the card base using 3d mounting tape.

then i stamped the bird house on a white cardstock. i used HCPC3491 holiday haven precut set, colored it with COPIC CHAO markers and fussy cut the image. after i adhered it to my card, i added extra glimmer and glam by coloring the poinsettia with RANGER christmas red and golden glitter glue and adding the red berries.

for my sentiment i used HCPC3562 christmas sentiment circles precut set. for the frame around the sentiment i used SPELLBINDERS classic scallop circle small die.

i hope you enjoyed today's creation!

SUMMER BLISS {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello crafty peeps!

i've got a brand new project to share with you today! this month i have the pleasure to work with one of the KAISERCRAFT's newest collections – TROPICAL PUNCH {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' online store}. i really love the bright summer colours of this paper line and the effect is always stunning!

"SUMMER BLISS"

 for my background i used the REFRESHING pattern paper as a base and i added a slightly smaller square of the LEMONADE pattern paper on top of it. before i adhered the two layers together, i added dimensional pattern using TIM HOLTZ’ bubble layering stencil and RANGER modelling paste. i sprinkled pink DYLUSIONS ink sprays on top of it to give the background extra colour and finally, i stamped the frame using KAISERCRAFT gingham clear stamp and brown ink

the pretty rhinestones are from KAISERCRAFT - orange colour, and you can find the printed tape HERE

for the circles under my pictures i used pattern papers from the 6.5″ TROPICAL PUNCH paper pad. i added liquid pearls and inked their edges before adhering them to my page.

to decorate my layout i used die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack and from the 6.5″ paper pad

the gorgeous flowers are from KAISERCARFT as well – paper blooms HOT PINK and SUNSET, and mini paper blooms HOT PINK. i added a bit of STICKLES star dust to make my roses shine.

for the swirls and the foliage around the blooms i used KAISERCRAFT decorative die FOLIAGE and pattern papers from the 6.5″ paper pad. the new dies are amazing – they cut so easily and the patters are useful for any type of project.

and finally the title – i used word banners from the 12″ STICKER sheet. i inked their edges and adhered them to my layout using mounting foam tape.

i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

and as always - have FUN creating!

SWEET HAPPINESS {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello everybody!

i'm so excited to share with you today my newest layout i made using the wonderful KAISERCRAFT collection TROPICAL PUNCH. this collection has bold colours and fruity/floral prints perfect for almost every type of project!

the design of this project was inspired by MERLY IMPRESSIONS october sketch challenge. SANDRA did an amazing job drawing this sketch - it has so many different elements and i really enjoyed playing with it!

"SWEET HAPPINESS"

for my background i layered the FUN TIMES pattern paper on top of the COCKTAIL pattern paper. i didn’t altered them, because i really like the vintage newspaper look of the FUN TIMES paper. i added a layer of pink pattern paper from the TROPICAL PUNCH paper pad, which i altered with a few cards from the 3 x 4 pineapple crush captured moments cards pack.

for the rest of the embellishments on my layout i used the matching COLLECTABLES die cuts pack and some die cuts from the TROPICAL PUNCH paper pad.

the flowers are also from KAISERCRAFT – paper blooms hot pink and paper blooms sunset. the resin blossoms are also from KAISERCRAFT – resin flowers DAHLIA.

for my title i used pre-cut banners from the COLLECTABLES die cuts pack.

and of course – a girly layout is never complete without a few butterflies – again from the COLLECTABLES pack.

i hope you enjoyed this project i made using the gorgeous KAISERCRAFT tropical punch collection. if you haven't ordered yours yet, just hop on over to MERLY IMPRESSIONS store and grab one, while quantities last!

have a lovely day!

BEST FRIENDS {sparkle n sprinkle}

hello sparkly friends!

i would like to share with my last post as a design team member for SPARKLE N SPRINKLE. and though it fills me with sadness that all good things must come to an end, just thinking about my time in this amazing team will brighten my days as i go and explore the new challenges in front of me!

so, without further ado, here it is my final project for SPARKLE N SPRINKLE {but of course i won’t stop using their amazing products and you will see many more sparkly projects on my blog} -

"BEST FRIENDS"

this picture is one of many from our last photo shoot in BULGARIA. i really love all of the pictures we got that day and working with them is so easy and enjoyable!
 for this layout i used WEBSTER'S PAGES "best friends" collection, CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS chipboard pieces and white cardstock {for the flowers}, as well as a lot of sparkly embossing powder and glitters from SPARKLE N SPRINKLE.

 to create the pattern on the background i used a masking template with a mixture of G1030 fascination glitter and EP429 Mediterranean Star embossing powder.

 for the flowers i used HEARTFELT CREATIONS stamps and dies. i stamped the flowers with VERSAMARK ink onto white cardstock using HCPC3608 arianna blooms precut set. then i heat embossed the set using SNS EP332 country blue embossing powder.
after the embossing powder has cooled down, i die cut the blossoms using HCD748 arianna blooms die.

 for the leaves i used white cardstock, VERSAMARK ink and EP351 sage embossing powder. the stamp set and cutting die are from HEARTFELT CREATIONS - HCPC3545 open leaf precut set and HCD736 classic leaf die.

  for my title i used a chipboard frame with the word TOGETHER cut into it {the chippie is from CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' together frame set}. i filled in the letters with EP429 mediterranean star sparkly embossing powder.

i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

come back soon!

our fairytale {MERLY IMPRESSIONS & KAISERCRAFT}

hello scrappy friends,

i've got a brand new layout to share with you today.
i designed this one for MERLY IMPRESSIONS using the amazing KAISERCRAFT "something blue" collection.

if you have followed the MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog {and mine}, probably you’ve noticed that so far i used the black/white colour palette from this collection, the blue/black palette and today i’m sharing a page created with the brown/beige papers.

it is one paper line, but the possibilities are endless!

"OUR FAIRYTALE"

for my background i used the true love pattern paper. i didn't alter it further, because i really like the design on it – the rhyme is so sweet and perfect for the wedding pictures i used.

to create the cardstock edge with the large hearts i used MARTHA STEWART deep edge punch "scroll heart" and KAISERCARD vanilla cardstock. i added a second layer with a piece of lace from the cream lace package and finished off my design with a stripe of pattern paper from the 6.5 x 6.5″ paper pad matching the collection.

i die cut the paper bow using TIM HOLTZ "bow-tied" decorative strip die.

 for the lovely blossoms i used KAISERCRAFT paper blooms coral. i needed two packages to get all the similar flowers, but i believe that it is worth it! these blooms are simply amazing!

i added a bit of RANGER liquid pearls white opal to decorate the petals. for the smaller flowers, i used KAISERCARD vanilla cardstock. i cut the stripes and created the buds by hand.
to finish off my flower clusters i added die cut foliage and KAISERCRAFT pearls lush colour.

for my title i used a die cut from the collectables pack.

and for my sentiment i used again a die cut from the collectables pack, but this time i layered it on patter paper from the 6.5 x 6.5″ paper pad.

 i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

have a fabulous day!

SEPTEMBER creations with DIE-VERSIONS

hello crafty friends!

i've got a few cards to share with you today, which i created with the wonderful dies from DIE-VERSIONS

for the first card i mixed our latest CHRISTMAS IN JULY release with a SWEET WORDLETS seasonal die:

how i did it: to mat the ruffled light blue cardstock panel i used a 10 x 15 cm dark blue card base. then i sprayed the white cardstock panel (9 x 14 cm) with a light blue paint spray and spattered some dark blue paint on it. when the paint has dried, i doodled the frame and adhered the ready panel to the card base.

 to create the large snowflake i used DV whispers die "delicate snowflake". i die cut the snowflake from dark blue and from white cardstock, and adhered it to my card using mounting tape. to finish off my design i added the blue button in the middle.

 for my title i used the sweet wordlets "seasons greetings" die. i adhered it to the card using a glue pen - it is really handy with small details.

*****

for my second card today, i used the two exactly the same dies, but the effect is completely different:

i used a red card base this time, which i mat with a layer of white cardstock and a layer of pattern paper. to decorate the card front i added the dotted edge using RANGER liquid pearls "white opal".

 to create the half glittery snowflake i used DV whispers die "delicate snowflake". i adhered a double sided tape to a white cardstock, die cut the snowflake, then i removed the second protective layer and sprinkled white glitter on it.

my title i die cut with the sweet wordlets "seasons greetings" die.

as you can see - you can use one and the same die over and over again, and depending on the papers you use and the style you are trying - the effect is always wonderful and unique!

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

have a fabulous week!
