CLEARSNAP and SOMETHING TATTERED cross-promotion

hello scrappy friends!

and welcome to DAY 3 of the CLEARSNAP and SOMETHING TATTERED cross-promotion!

from JUNE 20 to the 22nd, we are showcasing projects created by both of our design teams.

here's a little about CLEARSNAP®:

finding new ways to help our customers add color to craft projects is our passion. from our beginnings in a garage workshop more than 20 years ago, we've grown into a leading US manufacturer in the paper crafts industry.

in 1986, CLEARSNAP®developed the ROLLAGRAPH® roller stamp system, beginning a legacy of innovation. rollagraph® introduced the world to the self-inking rolling rubber stamp with interchangeable ink cartridges and stamp wheels.

with the COLORBOX® line of inkpads, CLEARSNAP® introduced many features common on today's inkpads, such as the raised inking surface which allows the use of any size inkpad with any size stamp. CAT'S EYE® inkpads brought high quality inks to the market at an affordable price. PETAL POINT® and PAINTBOX® inkpads offer removable plates or petals in a multi-color palette.

CLEARSNAP® uses only the finest quality materials in our products. when we develop a new inkpad, applicator or embellishment, we put it through its paces. we invite some of the best, most experienced and demanding artists to test it for us. products that survive and shine through this process make it into our catalog and onto our web site.

*****

and here's a little about SOMETHING TATTERED:

when BETH began hunting wallpaper for the bandboxes she was creating in 1990 it started a life of antiquing adventures and a passion for old paper. in 1993 BETH’s wallpaper covered boxes we featured in VICTORIA magazine and beth’s sister marilyn krehbiel joined her in the pursuit. marilyn’s business hannah’s treasures evolved into purveying historic wallpapers for movie sets. BETH peddled her boxes to the coast of california and settled in the west.

in 1997 Beth married Peter Neumann, son of a letterpress printer, who shared beth’s appreciation for the old paper arts. in 2011 Peter and Beth began SOMETHING TATTERED in response to Beth’s newest pursuit, wedding paper designs from her vast collection of antique paper.

in 2013 SOMETHING TATTERED launched the current line of craft stamps and in 2014 the new antique wallpaper stamps were added bringing the adventure full circle.

we hope you will share the passion.

we were challenged to create WEDDING themed projects without using patterned paper. the designs you see were created exclusively with CLEARSNAP inks and SOMETHING TATTERED stamps!

and here is what I came up with - THANK YOU box:

i decided to create the "THANK YOU" box-present for the guests. it's the perfect way to say THANK YOU for the wonderful day and all the smiles!

you can fill in the box with sweets and add a tag with the picture of the happy couple, their names and the date - the possibilities are endless.

products used: SOMETHING TATTERED vintage sterling monogram set, SOMETHING TATTERED swirls stamp set, SOMETHING TATTERED J initial monogram stamp set, COLORBOX pigment/archival silver ink pad, COLORBOX pigment/archival gold ink pad.

and here are some close ups:

to create the THANK YOU sentiment i used white cardstock, SOMETHING TATTERED vintage sterling monogram set and COLORBOX pigment/archival silver ink pad. i rubbed gold ink on my paper rose to give it a bit of colour.

i stamped the cover of the box with diamonds from SOMETHING TATTERED J initial monogram stamp set. i used COLORBOX pigment/archival gold ink pad.

to decorate my box i used SOMETHING TATTERED swirls stamp set with COLORBOX pigment/archival gold ink pad.

be yourself - tutorial {MERLY IMPRESSIONS & KAISERCRAFT}

hello scrappy friends!

recently i got a whole bunch of photos of my daughter from her friend's 10th birthday party. the girls had a dress up party with a professional photographer and the pictures are AMAZING!

here is one of them on my latest creation -

"BE YOURSELF"

i created this layout for MERLY IMPRESSIONS as a tutorial full with tips and tricks on how to add more layers to your page. i used he amazing KAISERCRAFT collection “storyteller”.

if you know me and my style, probably you’ve noticed that i LOVE layers! i can add embellishments and paper strips and fussy cut elements all day long!

i started with a layer of stamped images and paint splashes on my background paper {FEATURE pattern paper}. i used KAISERCRAFT clear stampsfilm edges, diamonds, lattice and storyteller collection set with different colours ink pads – brown, blue, olive green.

then i layered my picture on a slightly larger pattern paper from the 6.5″ paper pad from the same collection and i added a few rhinestones “split pea” to embellish the frame.

then i started layering my design. i used fussy cut flowers from both MEMOIR and REMINISCE pattern paper and die cut roses from the COLLECTABLES pack.

i added extra stripes of pattern paper, cut out as banners to fill in the space between my layers. TIP: don’t put your double sided tape or glue at the edge of the embellishments/pattern paper. like this you can always tuck in something extra later.

i added the word banners from the COLLECTABLES pack and adhered them with mounting foam tape. to embellish them i used orange twine tread.

as you can see you can use all kinds of materials to create layers on your page. i even added some of the fabulous KAISERCRAFT lace – cream coloured and resin flowers - dahlia.

i hope you enjoyed checking out my project for today!

you can find this newest collection and many other KAISERCRAFT papers and products at the MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store

thanks for stopping by my blog today!

beautiful day {creative embellishments}

Hello scrappy friends!

i've got a brand new project to share with you today, created with the amazing chippies from CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS!

“BEAUTIFUL DAY”

i took this picture of ELISE and WILLY {her cute little cousin} last sunday when we were at ZAANSE SCHANS – a picturesque open air museum in the NETHERLANDS. the day was really sunny and we enjoyed our time together!

to create the background, i used different masking templates from THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP, panpastels, TIM HOLTZ' distress ink pads and CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS’ circles background stamp.

to create my design i used KAISERCRAFT "blubelle" collection, which you can find at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store.

for my title i used CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' beautiful day chipboard title, which i altered with SPARKLE N SPRINKLE cerulean star embossing powder.

to embellish my page i used CE rainy days wood veneers set.

i coloured the clouds with different shades of blue embossing powder {SNS cerulean star EP and caribbean opaque EP} and layered them on top of each other, to give extra depth to my project.

to embellish my page i also used a fence from the CE picket fence chipboard set with brown embossing powder and a camera from capture this moment set.

here is a list with some of the products i used on my layout:

i hope you enjoyed today’s post!
have a great week!

my crafting space (MERLY IMPRESSIONS & KAISERCRAFT}

hello scrappy friends!

today i have another page to share with you using KAISERCARFT "storyteller" collection, available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store

"BE HAPPY, BE YOURSELF"

as you can see from my pictures – i don’t really have a scrap space! i’ve always wanted my own craft studio, but somehow sitting alone on the third floor, when everybody else is downstairs, never seemed quite right to me. so, i decided to move to our dining table and claim some space in the book case. it is always a mess and if we have visitors i have to act really quick in order to have some free space to drink coffee on the table, but i wouldn't change it for anything else! like this i get to do the things i love and still be with my family every single minute of every single day!

and this makes me incredibly HAPPY!!!

i created this layout for MERLY IMPRESSIONS june "scrap you crafting space" challenge.

For my background I used the FEATURE pattern paper and a matching paper from the 6.5″ paper pad from the same collection.

i embellished my layout with die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack and the 6.5″ paper pad, which i arranged under and around my pictures.

to finish off my design i added some resin flowers using KAISERCRAFT blossoms resin flowers DAHLIA.

THANKS so much for stopping by my blog today!
