bright future {DT work for heartfelt creations}

hello scrappy friends!

it's HEARTFELT CREATIONS wednesday again! and this week i've got a FANTASTIC NEWS for you - since 1st of january every second wednesday of the month HEARTFELT CREATION will be presenting their NEW product lines! which means that every month you will have even more HC goodies to play with!

this week we are presenting the CHATEAU GATE COLLECTION. this collection is "magnificent" and the intricate detail in each of the designs is absolutely beautiful. this collection is very versatile and you will be able to create projects for the men in your life, invites, graduations, love, congrats and so many more! it features 9 precut stamp sets and one beautiful new exclusive spellbinders die designed for HEARTFELT CREATIONS.

i had the chance to play with this collection and here is what i created:

i used the following heartfelt creations products in this project:

i began by preparing the frames for my pictures. i used a 13,5 x 18,5 cm brown cardstock and 14 x 19 cm green cardstock to create the layers under the large picture. to create the frame around the smaller picture i stamp the ornate chateau gate from HC grand portal precut set on a green cardstock on both sides with colorbox brown ink pad. i cut the door frame with the HC decorative chateau gate die and coloured the swirls with a brown copic ciao marker. i cut a second door frame from the same colour cardstock and glued it under the stamped one, slightly off to create layers and dimension. i removed the middle part of the frame and opened the door wings. then, i glued my picture under the frame and cut the edges that stuck out.

i cut out some branches and blooms from pink paislee “nature sanctuary” paper. i stamped different size blossoms on the rest of the pattern paper and different size leaves on green cardstock. i cut them out, embossed the petals and the leaves and cut a few leafy branches from brown cardstock with HC decorative chateau gate die. for a step-by-step tutorial on how to create the flowers, click HERE.

for the background i used the “flowers and blooms” paper from pink paislee's butterfly garden collection. i connected the flowers with a zigzag stitch to create a frame around my design and stamped a brick wall from HC chateau gateway precut set in the middle of the pattern paper to create basis for the pictures.

then i positioned the large picture on the background paper and carefully cut out some of the branches from the pattern paper. i added them on top of my picture and secured them in place with double sided tape. i stamped the sentiment from the HC door to my heart precut set above the big picture.

 and i stamped the second sentiment from the same set on a piece of green cardstock. i distressed its edges and coloured them slightly with pink ink pad. with HC decorative chateau gate die i cut two windows from brown cardstock, glued them together, so it looks like a fancy tag frame and add pink pearls.

i hope you enjoyed my post today!

if you wish to WIN the NEW HC RELEASE and you have to do is to leave a comment on the HC blog by january 17. one LUCKY blogger will WIN the entire release valued at $174.90. the winner will be announced on january 18 on the HC blog.
