mother, artist, inventor {DT work for heartfelt creation}

hello scrappy friends!

it's HEARTFELT CREATIONS wednesday {a very special wednesday as well - it is a LEAP day today} again and i've got a brand new project to share with you.

"mother, artist, inventor"

heartfelt creations products used on this project:

to create the pattern on the purple paper i used the big ornament from the HC layered elegant swirl die as a mask with ranger "tea dye" distress ink.

framing the picture - i punched two purple and two green stripes with martha stewart “doily” edge punch and “garden gate trim” deep edge punches. using HC decorative butterfly / border die and cuttlebug i cut the third border and coloured it with ranger “vintage photo” distress ink. with HC perfect petals die i cut the two green corners and placed them around my picture as well. the two big flourishes with leaves {HC belle rose die} are coloured with copic ciao brown marker and the leaves are distressed with tim holtz' crackle paint clear rock candy.

i stamped some leaves with HC leaf medley set, cut them out, embossed and distressed them. using Couture Creations embossing folder i embossed a big timepiece image on a creme cardstock, distressed it with "tea dye" distress ink, cut the big gear wheel and a few small ones out and puzzled all the elements around the picture.

the flowers – i stamped different sizes posies with HC posy patch flowers set on a creme cardstock, die cut them with HC posy patch die, layered the blossoms, distress them and coloured them with glimmer mist. for a step by step tutorial on how to create the distressed flowers, click HERE.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

distressed flowers tutorial using heartfelt creations posy patch stamps set

hello scrappy friends!

it is almost spring and what better way to greet a new season than with flowers?!so here is my new distressed flowers tutorial using the heartfelt creations' POSY PATCH stamp set and POSY PATCH die.

the whole process takes no more than 20 minutes {30 if you don't use a heating tool} and the result is pretty amazing. here is what you need:

step 1: stamp different size posies on a creme coloured cardstock. use the posy patch stamp set and brown ink.

step 2: cut the posies with a die cutting machine and HC posy patch die or by hand

step 3:  layer the different sized posies on top of each other and glue them with double sided tape; for the flower center you can use brads, buttons, eyelets, rhinestones or anything that comes to mind; if you choose a brad {as i did}, you can use a paper piercing tool to make a hole through all the layers and attach the brad through the hole:

step 4: using a mini mister, begin "watering" your flower and scrunching the different layers into the center; continue scrunching up each layer to the center until your flower looks like this:

step 5: then open up the outer layers until you are happy with the result; it doesn't matter that you don't see the stamped image, the brown edges will give an extra shabby look to your blossom:

step 6: you can use your flower like this or you can add glimmer mist, glitter, ink, pearls or any other art medium to achieve the colour you desire; i used delphinium glimmer mist and fine glitter {TIP: don't remove the protective foil from the glitter container; pierce few holes in it and use it as a salt shaker!}

now step back and admire your flowery goodness!

these gorgeous blossoms can be added to any project your heart desires. think scrapbook pages, cards, banners, wreaths, photo frames, decorative candles, really the sky is the limit.

here is how they look on my layout:

happy crafting!

congratulations {DT work for heartfelt creations}

hello scrappy friends!

it's HEARTFELT CREATIONS wednesday again and this week i've got a surprise for you!

we, the design team, were asked to combine the amazing products of couture creations with heartfelt creations goodies.

heartfelt creations products used on this project:

and

to distress the embossed images i used tim holtz' "tea die" and "vintage photo" distress ink. i embossed the image two times on a beige cardstock, distressed the first image with "tea dye" ink and the second one – with "vintage photo". after they were dry, i cut out the lighter timepiece image and glued it to the card base. then, i cut few of the gear wheels and the circle frame from the darker image and added them on top of the first image with 3d adhesive tape.

using the HC decorative butterfly / border die i cut two corners from brown cardstock and place them on the card. i cut three branches with HC belle rose die, embossed them and stiched them to the upper right corner of my card. then i stamp few small posies from HC posy patch flowers and die cut them with HCD 701 Posy Patch Die. i colored the petals with colorbox smooch "frosted aqua" and emboss them.

Using HCPC 3449 Door To My Heart PreCut Set stamp your sentiment on a piece of beige cardstock and distress it with Tea Dye distress ink. Stick the finished panel on to your card.

hope to see you next time!

getting crafty with tattered angels

hello lovely friends!

i want to share a new technique i invented with you. all you need is a wax stick, glimmer mist and a glimmer screen.

it goes like this:

1. place a glimmer screen of your choice on your card and outlined it with white candle stick {i choose a butterfly}. spray the card with pink bubblegum glimmer mist and let it dry. like this you will get the butterfly print on your card, but what usually will turn pink after spraying, now stayed white, because of the wax.

2. outline the glimmer screen on another piece of paper and cut the shape out. place the newly created paper stencil on the butterfly shape on your card and sprayed the rest with delphinium glimmer mist.

3. stamp a wish /sentiment and your card is complete.

this technique is really easy and you don't need anything special for it - just a few bottles of glimmer mist, a glimmer screen and left overs from your birthday candles.

here is a christmas card, i made the same way:

i used the swirl glimmer screen; frost and denim blue glimmer mist. i added some glitter glue and a pre-painted  glimmer chips "frosty memories" to add an extra Christmas feeling.

if you don't have glimmer mist, you can use colorbox smooch spritz as well.

i hope you enjoyed this little tutorial of mine!

until the next post!

Emmy

some roads... {DT work for heartfelt creations}

hello scrappy friends!

it's HEARTFELT CREATIONS wednesday again and i've got a new project with the AMAZING newly released FLORAL CROSS collection.

"some roads are meant to be travelled alone"

heartfelt creations products used on this project:

for the background - i used the “cherish” punch around the page set from MARTHA STEWART and the EK SUCCESS "abstract flower" border punch to shape the different layers. i sprayed the white cardstock layer with HULA HOOP glimmer mist, stamp the small flourish from  HC butterfly and lilies set along the edge and stitched the white cardstock to the other two layers.

i shaped the orange pattern paper with MS “cherish” punch set and embossed two large timepieces with couture creations "TIMEPIECE" embossing folder. using HC large elegant word background set i created pattern on the paper.

using the HC layered scalloped posy Die i cut an arch from the orange pattern paper. then using the HC decorative chateau gate die i cut a lot of small vines from green and white cardstock and arranged them around my picture as an arch. added a few of the smallest lilies from HC pristine lilies set to finish off the green arch.

i stamped the scroll with candles from HC twining clematis set, cut the candles out and coloured the leaves with green COPIC CIAO marker. i stamped a second image with orange ink, cut out the lilies and added them to the original image with 3d adhesive tape.

i cut the title stripe from the pattern paper and shaped the edges with FISKARS apron lace boder punch. i added a different coloured layer with the same edge under the title stripe.

i stamped different sizes pristine lilies with brown and orange ink, die cut them with the coordinating HC cross and lilies die. embossed and shaped the petals, added a pearl to the middle and place them on my layout.

have a lovely day!

my sweet little pink fairy

hello scrappy friends!

today i've got a brand new layout to share with you:

i've based my layout on MCS JANUARY sketch:

and on the color challenge #217 from COLOR COMBOS GALORE

i made this layout for my daughter ELISE. she is not as little as on the pictures anymore, but to me she will always be my sweet little pink fairy.

i used mainly PRIMA products and MARIANNE DESIGN dies.

the paperс are from the FABULOUS shabby chic collection. i did a lot of fussy cutting, stitching, stamping and colouring... again:-) i used PRIMA resist canvas "romantique", PINK BUBBLEGUM glimmer mist and rhinestones to create the big pinkish butterfly. the bird cage is from marianne design die.

the brown branch is also made with resist canvas and COFFEE SHOP glimmer mist, the heart comes from marinanne design and the cute little key hole and key are from DUSTY ATTIC. i added a layer of gesso and a layer of TATTERED ROSE distress ink to give them a colour fit for my design.

i stamped the fence with PRIMA stamp and colorbox brown ink pad, and cute out the white spots by hand. i added a hunt of pink ink to
the white PETALOO flowers and arranged the small roses around the fence.

the decorative frame on top of my picture is cut with HC decorative chateau gate die. to create a fairy effect, i added rhinestones.

i finished my design by adding a big pink bow:

i hope you enjoyed today's post! see you tomorrow for HEARTFELT CREATIONS wednesday!

the smallest things {DT work for SC}

hello lovely friends!

this is my second post for today, but this one is all about SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES!

as you know every week there is a new sketch to play with - this week it was sketch # 282:

and here is what i came up with:

i flipped the sketch and used a journalling spot instead of second photo. i couldn't resist this WONDERFUL quote - it was printed for my picture:-)

i used the AMAZING "baby steps" paper line from simple stories and a lot of different dies and stamps from MARIANNE DESIGN.

the cute banner is made with the matching cardstock stickers and spellbinders nested lacey pennants die. the branch is cut out from marinanne design's bird on branch die {LR0137}. the flowers and the leaves are from PRIMA marketing.

for the tile i used another sticker, which i glued to yellow shimmering cardstock. the little roses are from marinane deisng and prima.

for the big flower i used PRIMA blossom and the snowflake die {LR0185} from marianne design. i stamped the background with some more adorable snowflakes from the "let is snow" stamp set and colorbox brown ink pad.

when i saw the note sheet border i knew exactly which die to use to embellish it- the music key {LR0167}.

i used liquid pearls, punched border {EK SUCCESS abstract flower border punch} and of course i stitched a lot... again:-)

to create dimension on my layout, i added few punched layers under the quote cut out.

and the last picture is from my "smallest thing" - not so small anymore, but still extremely cute!

i hope you enjoyed my post! if you need more inspiration, come and check what the rest of the team created HERE.

i hope to see your creations in our gallery!
