MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello scrappy friends!

can you believe that it is just one month until CHRISTMAS... again... and this year we will take our family photo... again... but i haven't put even the pictures of ELISE's first CHRISTMAS (from about 12 year ago) in an album yet...

 so, i rolled up my sleeves, got KAISERCRAFT's newest YULETIDE collection on my craft table, pictures from ELISE's first christmas and this is the result -

"MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS"

i used two different papers to create the background. for the first layer i used KAISERCARD stone wave cardstock. to alter the cardstock i stamped the corner pattern TIM HOLTZ distress ink pad tea dye and KAISERCRAFT clear stamp lattice. then i added a second layer with KAISERCRAFT clear stamp bubble wrap and KAISERCOLOUR paint mocha.

for second layer of my background i used the MERRY die-cut paper from the same collection. i sprayed it with DYLUSIONS red spray and added extra dimension with modelling paste and TIM HOLTZ layering stencil. after everything has dried, i stamped the sentiment from the YULETIDE collection clear stamp set and separated the holly leaves carefully from the upper side.

to create the large poinsettia i used TIM HOLTZ poinsettia die and red and green pattern papers from the small paper pad. i inked the edges of the leaves and stamped the brown pattern on the green layer with KAISERCRAFT distress clear stamp. to create the center of the flower i used LIQUID PEARLS.

the holly branches around my picture i cut from the papers from the small PAPER PAD and the FESTIVE 12 x 12″ patter paper. i shaped them using an embossing tool and adhered them to the background using mounting foam tape and KAISERCRAFT mounting foam dots.

the cute SANTA CLAUS next to my picture is from the COLLECTABLES pack matching the collection as well as most of the other die cut embellishments.

for my title and subtitles i used stickers from the 12″ sticker sheet, which i adhered with mounting foam tape.

and finally i added red rhinestones to finish off my design.

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

have a lovely scrappy weekend!

hugs 'n smiles,

This is so pretty Emmy. Luckily there are no Scrapbook Police - we can take as long as we need to! The colors and details are gorgeous on this layout. ... and so is the photo!
