hello crafty friends!
it is the beginning of MAY and as usual it is time for the monthly KAISERCRAFT reveal on my blog - which collection i'm going to present this month... this month i've got a very special line to design with... my personal favourite of 2015 release {so far}...
this month i’ve got the great pleasure to work with KAISERCRAFT’s antique bazaar collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}!
the vintage look and feel, the classic frames and the time embellishments are just perfect for any heritage themed layout! and here is what i came up with -
"MEMORIES"
this is a picture of my grandmother taken ca. 1934 when she was at school. i recently found a whole box full with pictures from my grand parents and their parents, and some of them are simply amazing! luckily i’ve got KAISERCRAFT’s antique bazaar collection to design with this month, so stay tuned – there will be more vintage layouts coming!
for my background i used RESTORE pattern paper – the grey side. i ruffled its edges using TIM HOLTZ paper distresser and then i mat the pattern paper onto KAISERCRAFT coffee bean weave cardstock.
to alter the background further i used different KAISERCRAFT clear stamps – “GRUNGE” and “POSTMARKS”. the word “memories” i stamped with the CLEAR STAMPS SET matching the collection and TIM HOLTZ mini distress ink pad TEA DYE.
to create the dimensional pattern i used KAISERCRAFT damask quarters 12×12 stencil and RANGER INK texture paste. once the paste has dried, i sprinkled a bit of KAISERMIST spray inks – RED and TURQUOISE.
i used the PAPER PAD to create the layers under my picture. at the end of every KAISERCRAFT paper pad you will find four sheets with exclusive die cuts. i find the borders really useful when creating different colour/shape layers.
the clock faces, the framed quotes and the other embellishments are die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack or fussy cut elements from pattern papers from the small PAPER PAD or the SALVAGE 12″ pattern paper.
i hope i managed to inspire you today!
have a lovely creative week!
hugs 'n smiles,
