mixed media canvas {DT work for heartfelt creations}

hello scrappy friends!

it is wednesday and it is time for the big reveal at HEARTFELT CREATIONS!

i'm delighted to present to you HEARTFELT CREATIONS very first paper line. the papers feature beautiful patterns, luscious colors, and organic textures. some come with HC stamp images in them; others are abstract. these papers will add some fun and variety to your creations!

the CLASSIC EDITION COLLECTION stamp sets, paper collection, and die release is gearing towards the fall season and colder days. a rustic truck, wooden wagon, playful dog, berries, apples, and pumpkins will keep you busy creating as the sun begins disappearing earlier in the evenings. there are 6 new precut stamp sets, one paper collection, and one beautiful new exclusive spellbinders die designed for heartfelt creations.

to honour this beautiful line i decided to create a mixed media canvas featuring all the different products from the CLASSIC EDITION COLLECTION. for this project i drew my inspiration from the amazingly creative gabrielle pollacco.

heartfelt creations products used:

i begun by covering the canvas with gesso. then i blend few colours from tim holtz’ distress ink pads – i started at the top and worked my way down mixing “wild honey”, “spiced marmalade” and “fired brick”. i covered the edges with “tea dye” ink pad.

to create the stamped frame i used the following HC stamp sets: HC shabby chic lace set, HC ornamental raspberries set, HC basketweave background set, HC tattered background set – with brown ink pad and HC broken cinder blocks set with reddish ink. i stamped the corner swirl from HC palace entry set with RANGER rerfect medium and covered it golden glitter.

for the inner part of my canvas i used HC large elegant word background set, HC tattered background set, HC days gone by set. i blend “Tumbled Glass” distress ink on top of the stamped images to create lighter spots where i stamped my sentiment {HC believe set} with brown archival ink.

the doll i sketched first and then cut out the different elements from HC classic editions collection paper pad. if you are interested in my sketch CLICK HERE - you are welcome to print it off and create your own paper doll.

i've copied the sketch as many times as i needed to cut out all different shapes. then i outlined the ready elements on pattern paper and cut them out. some i glued upside down on the pattern paper {the smaller elements} to make sure that i’ll have the right size.

i stamped the truck {HC antique truck set} with black ink on red pattern paper and cut it out with HC classic editions die.

i cut the berries branches, the pumpkins and the large blossoms from the patter papers and arranged them around the paper doll. to finish off my canvas i added the pearl swirls. i used flourish with a bling grace pearl flourish latte, which i cut into pieces.

i hope you enjoyed today's post and HC new collection!
