so SPECIAL to ME {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello crafty friends!

popping today with a new project i created for MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog.

this month i have the absolute pleasure to work with one of KAISERCRAFT newest collections – SECRET GARDEN {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' online store}. this collection has a lot of sweet floral and butterfly patterns perfect for girly shabby chic creations, but also grey and blue papers for those cute boy pictures.

my first project this month is a shabby chic layout featuring a family picture of me and the kids -

"SO SPECIAL TO ME"

for the background i used POSY pattern paper. i added floral edge using a sticker from the 12″ STICKER sheet. then i inked the edges of the pattern paper with TIM HOLTZ mini distress ink pad PICKED RASPBERRY and i drew a frame using gelly roll pen - WHITE.

after the ink has dried i stamped the doily pattern from the CLEAR stamp set matching the collection with TIM HOLTZ mini distress ink pad PICKED RASPBERRY and sprinkled KAISERMIST spray ink RED and PINK on top.

after the mists have dried, i adhered half of the BLOSSOM die-cut paper to my background. i embellished it with KAISERCRAFT pearls – PEARL colour. then i created the layers under my picture using papers from the mini PAPER PAD and die cut elements from the mini PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack.

i added also various stripes with sayings from the 12″ STICKER sheet.

for the flowers i used die cuts and fussy cut elements from the ROSES pattern paper. i added STICKLES star dust to the flowers and leafy swirls cut with the FOLIAGE decorative die.
