hello sunshine {MERLY IMPRESSIONS & KAISERCRAFT}

hello scrappy friends!

it's a new month and there is another fabulous challenge going on at MERLY IMPRESSIONS. this time the theme is "STAMPS & STAMPING". as you might know, KAISERCRAFT produce the most unique and inspirational clear stamps, which you can use on absolutely any type of project.

this month i have the pleasure to create with the stunning “TELEGRAPH ROAD” collection from KAISERCRAFT. add a lot of stamps and here is the result –

"HELLO SUNSHINE"

to create my layout i used different stamps sets and background stamps:
“HONEYCOMB” background stamp
“BUBBLE WRAP” background stamp
“GRUNGE” background stamp
“TELEGRAPH ROAD” clear stamps set
“HUMMINGBIRD" clear stamp set
“BLAE & IVY” clear stamp set

for my background i used two different pattern papers from the “TELEGRAPH ROAD” collection - telegram and message.

i cut off 1 cm from each side of the TELEGRAM pattern paper, inked and distressed it edges and layered it on top of the MESSAGE pattern paper. then i started altering it with stamps, ink and paint.

first, i marked where my picture will be and then i added a light green pastel around it. after the fixative was dry, i added alphabet pattern using TIM HOLTZ “cargo” layering stencil and “OLD PAPER” distress ink pad

then i stamped the “GRUNGE” background pattern with a brown ink and the “HONEYCOMB” background pattern with a black ink. finally i added the “BUBBLE WRAP” background pattern with KAISERCOLOUR paint “pistachio”.

when all the layers were dry, i started assembling my design. i used the COLLECTABLES pack and the 6.5 x 6.5 inch paper pad to create my embellishments.

i used the “TELEGRAPH ROAD” clear stamps set to stamp the hello sunshine sentiment of a few places on my page.

for the black birds and butterflies i used the ”HUMMINGBIRD” clear stamp set…

and the “BLAE & IVY” stamp set for the foliage.

i used also various MARIANNE design dies with beige cardstock to create the swirly foliage.

and my latest passions - beaded pins - i just love to create them in every colour and size. oh, the possibilities of a hand full of pearls and beads!

to finish off my layout i added a piece of KAISERCRAFT lace - natural colour, heart shaped stickers from the STICKER sheet from the same collection and RANGER liquid pearls.

here is an overview of some of the products i used on this project:

to create this layout, i got inspired by KAISERCRAFT saturday sketch #1 for FEBRUARY:
