HAPPY {susan k. weckesser}

hello crafty friends!

it is my turn over at SUSAN K. WECKESSER's blog and i've decided to create a card fit for any occasion, because it just makes you HAPPY - 

using SUSAN K. WECKESSER products always makes me HAPPY, so i thought this sentiment will be perfect for my card. 

i added a lot of layers to my card using SUSAN K. WECKESSER whimsical papers and cardstock.

i used white base for my card, which i altered with SUSAN K. WECKESSER & UNITY STAMPS "abc.123.washi" stamp set. after the ink has dried, i sprayed my background with brown and orange GLIMMER MIST. 

 for my card i used different frames and the birdy journalling spot from SUSAN K. WECKESSER "live in color tags" pattern paper. i stamped on my second layer, using the numbers washi from the "abc.123.washi" stamp set. 

i fussy cut the colourful banners from the pattern paper, inked their edges and tucked them in under the craft layers.

fancy tags with pretty ladies {susan k. weckesser inc.}

it is APRIL already and this is my first monthly post for SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. 

this week i decided to create a few fancy tags for some pretty ladies!

to create these tags i used the SUSAN K. WECKESSER & UNITY STAMPS "poised & pretty" stamp set. 

in this set there is one vintage paper doll with two dresses and a hat. and as you can imagine - the possibilities are endless!!! 

i cut the tags by hand - 3.5 x 6.5" and used a punch for the hole. then i added a few layers of pattern paper and paper doilies on top of the basis tag.

on the last layer i used the SUSAN K. WECKESSER alphabet washi stamp from the "abc.123.washi" stamp set with VERSAMARK ink and embossing powder to give extra dimension to the background.

i used SPARKLE N SPRINKLE white detail embossing powder...

... and SNS fiery brown embossing powder.

i stamped the paper doll from the SUSAN K. WECKESSER & UNITY STAMPS "poised & pretty" stamp set two times on light pink pattern paper and then i used different pattern papers for the dresses.

i added cardstock die cuts {SPELLBINDERS labels twenty-nine die} and resin embellishments to decorate the tags.

for my sentiments i used the cut off strips from SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. whimsical papers. i inked their edges and adhered them with mounting tape to the tags.

i added paper banners and liquid pearls to finish off my design.

quick and easy cards for every occasion {susan k weckesser inc.}

it is my turn over at SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. blog and i've got two quick and colourful cards to share:

these cards are very easy to create and all you need is SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. whimsical papers, colorful cardstock, SPARKLE N SPRINKLE white detail embossing powder and UNITY STAMPS "abc.123.washi" stamp set.

to create the cards i used the live in color tags whimsical paper and blue, pink and craft coloured cardstock.
 to separate the different layers, i distressed the edges on the first one and then i punched the edges on the second with MARTHA STEWART edge punches. i adhered the different layers with 3d tape.

i fussy cut the sentiment from its frame, layered it on a cardstock and adhere it to its original base with 3d tape. then i added it on top of the cardstock layer with punched edges.

to give extra dimension to my projects i stamped the alphabet washi tape from the UNITY STAMPS "abc.123.washi" stamp set with versamark ink and heat embossed it with SNS white detail embossing powder.

to finish off my design i added the colorful banner, STCKLES silver glitter glue and rhinestones to my cards.

a whimsical card {susan k. weckesser inc.}

i've got a new SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. project to share today! 

this time i decided to create a whimsical card for someone special. i used SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. whimsical papers and unity stamps "abc.123.washi" stamp set. 

for my background i used mint coloured cardstock, which i altered with the solid washi tape stamp from the unity stamps "abc.123.washi" stamp set and two shades of RANGER brown ink. after the ink has dried, i added extra dimension using modelling paste and THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP mini chevron arrows mask.

to create the frame under my sentiment i used white cardstock and the alphabet washi stamp from the unity stamps "abc.123.washi" stamp set. i fussy cut the sentiment from SUSAN K. WECKESSER "live in color tags" sheet and adhered it with mounting tape to my project. 

 to finish off my card i added flowers, mini hearts {TIM HOLTZ mover and shapers "mini hearts" die} and swirls, die cut from SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. whimsical papers.

patchwork heart & wings {susan k. weckesser}

it's the day after and i've got a brand new card to share with you -

"OURS"

it is, of course, in the spirit of ST. VALENTINE's day. 

for my sentiment i used SUSAN K. WECKESSER "le mason" stamp, because if you ask me {after 11 year of marriage} "mine" and "yours" is just not good enough anymore :-)

and then there is the heart. to decorate my card, i decided to create a patchwork heart and here is how I did it in three simple steps.

step 1: stamp the pattern you would like to use on a white cardstock. use different colours or different shades of one colour. i used the Susan K. Weckesser "abc.123.washi" stamp set with red ink.

step 2: cut out the stamped images and begin arranging your patchwork in the shape you would like to use. 

step 3: after you are satisfied with the result, adhere the paper strips to a piece of cardstock. then die cut the heart using TIM HOLTZ "heart wings" die. 

to finish off my design, i inked the edges of the heart, layered it on slightly larger white cardstock and applied a layer of see-through crackle paint to give it more vintage look.

i stamped the sentiment on a piece of cardstock, fussy cut it and adhered it with mounting tape to my card. 

for the background i used pink GLIMMER MIST. when it was dry i added a layer with THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "mini harlequin" mask and  TIM HOLTZ "work lipstick" distress ink and a second layer with PRIMA marketing "doily" masking template and "fired brick" distress ink. the fourth, and final, layer i made with THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "mini flying geese" mask and modelling paste. 

 for the crown and the wings i used silver paint dabber and "clear rock candy" crackle paint.

to finish off my card i added a two-colour seam binding ribbon bow and white pearls.

mixed-media cards with whimsical papers

it is my turn over at SUSAN K. WECKESSER's blog and i've prepared two mixed media cards using her amazing whimsical papers and a few of her stamps.

for my cards i used the susan k. weckesser whimsical papers - beautiful daydreams, bouquet, live in color tags, live in color and color burst, and susan k. weckesser and unity stamps "abc.123.washi" stamp set.   

to create the background of my first card i used white cardstock, FABER-CASTELL gelatos {snow cone, blueberry, lemon and green}, distress ink and different masking templates. 

first, i applied a layer of GELATOS which i blended with water. then i added the harlequin pattern using THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "mini harlequin" mask and TIM HOLTZ "broken china" distress ink. after the ink was dry, i glued a few pieces of white paper doily and stamped the washi tapes from susan k. weckesser and unity stamps "abc.123.washi" stamp set randomly on my background. 

to finish off my design, i added a dimensional layer using modelling paste and THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "mini flying geese" and PRIMA marketing masking templates.

to create the abstract flowers i used SUSAN K. WECKESSER whimsical papers - color burst.  i fussy cut four circles, inked and distressed their edges and adhered them to my background with a 3d foam tape. then i cut out the stems from the "live in color tags" pattern paper, stamped the alphabet washi tape on top of them and attached them to the flowers. 

to complete my card i added white pearls and doodled the frame around my design.

for my second card i used a light brown card base and a 13 x 13 cm piece of SUSAN K. WECKESSER whimsical papers - color burst. i adhered it to the cardstock and doodles the frame around it. then using THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "circle explosion" masking template and modelling paste, i added extra dimensional layer to my card. 

to create the banner  i used SUSAN K. WECKESSER whimsical papers - beautiful daydreams, bouquet, live in color and color burst.

as a final touch i added two colorful butterflies {i used MARTHA STEWART monarch butterfly punch}, which i embellished with white pearls.
