little boy {sketch 268}

hello lovely friends!

it's another week and another AMAZING sketch challenge at scrapbook challenges. this week the sketch was designed from our VERY TALENTED dt member anna white-sharman.

she will tell you that this is her first sketch, but when you look at it - it is HARD to believe. there are great details and the composition of the elements is just PERFECT!

here is what i came up with:

i used the "little boy" collection from echo park. i just LOVE the bright colours and boyish design of this paper line!

there is a lot of stitching and doodling on this layout, but otherwise it wouldn't be MINE.

the stars pattern is made with bazzil's stitching patterns.

i cut out some of the journalling cards included in the kit. i stitched and stamped them and this is the result:

the alphabet letters are also from the collection kit:

as i said - i did a lot of doodling:

thank you for taking the time to visit my blog! i truly appreciate every scrappy friend!

back to the 80's {MME}

hello lovely friends,

today i want to share my latest project with you. i made it for the monthly sketch competition from MME. as usual the very TALENTED anam stubbington have created a WONDERFUL sketch for us to follow:

the theme was 'back to..." and here is what i came up with:

i used the lost and found one "union square" paper line, the lost and found two "rosy"clear stamps - that how i created the banner under my ribbon - i've stamped the half doily on some paper leftovers, cut it and embossed the edges.

the lost and found two "rosy" dimensional stickers and inkadinkado "steam punk" clear stamps:

the paper stripes are from a journalling card from the tres jolie "brothers" collection {YES! i do have a lot of mme's goodies}

 on the picture me and my good friend alex. i named my layout "back to the 80's", because we were at a "kitch party" - tiger tops, hawaiian shirts, snake print clothes - nothing was more kitchy than the 80's!

i hope you enjoyed my post! i sure had a lot of fun making this layout! and i can't wait for the next challenge at mme!

all things cupcakes {limited runs digi's}

hello bloggers!

my sunday post is all about CUPCAKES. if you LOVE cupcakes as much as i do, the you will definitely fall in love with limited runs digi's! there are over 80 different CUPCAKE designs for almost every occasion.

limited runs is also sponsoring the second challenge at colorful creations.

the challenge is to create a CARD or a LAYOUT using a digital or stamped image of a CUPCAKE, sprinkles (BLING or GLITTER) on top of the frosting and SENTIMENT (card) or a TITLE (layout) that includes the word CUPCAKE.

i had the pleasure to work with the "one candle cupcake" digital stamp and here is what i came up with:

i used marinane design papers, white ribbon and stickles glitter glue for the frosting.

if you are curious how to get the 3-d cupcake effect using a digital stamp, click HERE to view my NEW tutorial.

to enter the colorful creation challenge your creation must be new as of september 15, 2011 and cannot be combined with any other cc challenge.

extra entry earned for using a limited runs image. When uploading your entry you must include the name of the image you used to receive the extra entry.

limited runs will be awarding the randomly chosen winner of this challenge (3) digi images, winner's choice from their online store.

3-d effect using digital stamps

hello bloggers!

every time when i use a digital image i'm wondering if there is any way to make it pop. i've tried using foam tape, but the result was not exactly what i was looking for... and one day the solution just came to me - it is all about PERCENTAGE!

so, in order to create a 3-d effect using a digital image, here is what you have to do:

1. print your digital image three times, where the 2nd image is 5% smaller than the 1st and the 3rd image is 10 % smaller than the 1st one.

2. colour the three images with the same colours.

 3. cut the images

4. attach the three layers together, using adhesive foam blocks.

and here is how i used my 3-d digital stamp to create this lovely card:

i hope this tutorial was useful to YOU!

little lady {bo bunny}

good evening, bloggers!

this is my second post for today. it is about a project i did for the WONDERFUL friday sketch challenge going on every other friday at bo bunny's blog.

the sketch we had to follow was created by the very TALENTED bo bunny designer Carin McDonough:

here is my interpretation:

i used the AMAZING paper line "gabrielle" from bo bunny. all the butterflies and the soft colours just seemed so PERFECT for these pictures of ELISE.

i made some close ups from my FAVOURITE bits:

the butterfly is a combination from two martha stewart punches - monarch butterfly and medium butterfly. i added glitter and liquid pearls to make it look more fancy:-)

again - martha stewart butterfly edge punch and a lot of stitching and doodling.

the sub-title comes from the sticker sheet from the same paper line.

as you can see i used my liquid pearls a lot. i just love those colours - white opal and pink - they go so well on every layout of ELISE.

some more butterflies and glitter:

thank you for taking the time to visit my blog! i hope to see you back soon!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy

OMA's sweethearts {my creative sketches}

hello bloggers!

i'm finally ready with my project for the 1st sketch challenge from my creative sketches. it's a new challenge blog and i LOVE it so far!

here is what i came up with this month:

and this is the sketch i had to work with:

this layout is a birthday present for my mom. she is on the black & white photo with all her grandchildren. the small pictures are the most recent photographs of each one of them - elise, willy and theo.

i used the newest PRIMA marketing line - "pixie glen" and some other of their AMAZING products. i did a lot of stamping, stitching and fussy cutting... as usual :-)

some close ups:

the title is written with brown alphabet stickers from PRIMA marketing. the pink pearls are also from the same manufacturer.

 the cute little pixie and the umbrella are cut off one of the papers from the "pixie glen" paper line. the curls under the circle are made with one of the "annalee" clear stamps.

i couldn't put anything on top of this quote - i really LOVE it! so i made a little opening to fit my paper strip through it. i used the white opal liquid pearls a lot as you can see:-)

 i coloured the bird with "frosty" glimmer mist. i stamped the "happy birthday" words with my latest ippity stamp "FALL for you".

off to finish one more layout now!

Emmy
