CHRISTMAS EVE LOVE {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello crafty peeps!

today is my last post for this month over at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog and i've prepared another CHRISTMAS layout with a picture from the time when my little munchkins were actually little :-)

"CHRISTMAS EVE LOVE"

for my background i used KAISERCARD cherry weave cardstock, which i altered with a layer of GESSO. after the GESSO has dried i sprayed the cardstock with KAISERMIST spray ink ANTIQUE GOLD and doodled the top and the bottom edge using FABER-CASTELL pitt aristic pen brown.

then i punched the brown edge with hearts using pattern paper from the MINI PAPER PAD and MARTHA STEWART deep edge punch, and decorated it with RED STICKLES. i adhered the lace edge {LACE PACK – CREAM} first and then added the punched edge on top.

then i adhered a 16 cm stripe from the WISE MEN pattern paper with KAISERCRAFT 12mm double-sided tape and covered the edges with red stripes.

for the layers under my picture i used the MINI PAPER PAD and the left overs from the WISE MEN pattern paper. i ruffled their edges with PAPER DISTRESSER.

to decorate my page i used die cuts and fussy cut images from the MINI PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack, which i altered with STICKLES glitter glue - christmas red and frosted lace

…stickers from the 12″ STICKER sheet and fussy cut foil embellishments from the ANGELS FOIL paper.

to finish off my design i added RHINESTONES red and silver

here is a list with most of the products i used on my page:

HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers SEPTEMBER blog hop

hello HEARTFELT CREATIONS friends!

and WELCOME to the HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers SEPTEMBER blog hop!

i finally got my set of one of my favourite HEARTFELT CREATIONS recent releases - SPARKLING POINSETTIA collection and i couldn't wait to start creating. for today, i've prepared a fancy CHRISTMAS card with sparkling poinsettias and a hand made push pin -

HEARTFELT CREATIONS products used:
HCPC3684 sparkling poinsettia notes cling stamp set
HCPC3682 sparkling poinsettia swirl cling stamp set
HCPC3680 sparkling poinsettia cling stamp set
HCD1-766 sparkling poinsettia die
HCST1-401 deluxe flower shaping kit
double dots 100pc. -3D foam squares

and here are some close ups of my project:

for my background i used white cardstock, which i stamped with HCPC3684 sparkling poinsettia notes cling stamp set and embossing ink. then i heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder and coloured the cardstock with a mix of TIM HOLTZ distress ink TEA DYE and OLD PAPER.

the greenish leafy swirls i stamped with HCPC3682 sparkling poinsettia swirl cling stamp set and embossing ink, heat embossed with gold embossing powder and fussy cut the swirls. then i coloured them with TIM HOLTZ peeled paint distress ink.

for the poinsettias i used HCPC3680 sparkling poinsettia cling stamp set and HCD1-766 sparkling poinsettia die. to shape them i had the best helper ever - HEARTFELT CREATIONS' deluxe flower shaping kit. once i was satisfied with the result, i coloured the poinsettias with WORN LIPSTICK, FIRED BRICK and SQUEEZED LEMONADE distress ink pads and adhered a few gold pearls in the middle of the flowers.

i added a ribbon bow...

JOY at CHRISTMAS {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello KAISERCRAFT fans!

as you know, this month i have the pleasure to work with KAISERCRAFT’s HOLY NIGHT collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store} and what is the best thing to create with a CHRISTMAS themed line – a family layout, of course :-)

"JOY at CHRISTMAS"

for my background i used KAISERCARD vanilla weave cardstock. i decorated the edge with a pattern stamp from the BLUBELLE stamp set and INK PAD vintage.

then i cut out two 1cm stripes of the WISE MAN pattern paper, inked and ruffled its edges with TIM HOLTZ PAPER DISTRESSER and, after rolling one of the corners, adhered it to the cardstock with KAISERCRAFT 12mm double-sided tape.

to cover the cardstock in the corner, i tucked in a die-cut from the PAPER PAD under the pattern paper. then i took the two red pages with text from the same PAPER PAD, cut them to match the width of the background pattern paper and adhered them all together.

to create the layers under my picture decorate my picture i used pattern papers from the PAPER PAD.

then i used a lot of different die cuts and stickers from the the 12″ STICKER SHEET, the PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack.

i fussy cut glossy flowers and leaves from the glossy papers in the mini paper pad. i adhered them to the layout using MOUNTING foam tape.

all the foil embellishments are fussy cut from the ANGELS foil paper.  i layered the stars onto die-cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack and used RHINESTONES RED to decorate them.

here is a list with all the products used on this project:

to create this layout i got inspired by MY CREATIVE SKETCHES september sketch:

it is an awesome challenge site, that i've been following for awhile now, with a new inspirational sketch every month.

THANK YOU for stopping by today!

have a wonderful week!
