DECEMBER's cards galore with DIE-VERSIONS

hello crafty friends!

can you believe it is almost the end of DECEMBER already?! and i still have a few creations to share with you. this post will be all about DIE-VERSIONS and their FANTASTIC dies!

*****

my first card is a CHRISTMAS one of course -

"SEASONS's GREETINGS"

i used red cardstock for the base. then i cut a slightly smaller piece of golden cardstock, distressed its edges with brownish ink and layered the image on top of it.

for my sentiment i used IE-VEDRSIONS' sweet wordlets "SEASONS's GREETINGS" die. i die cut the phrase from white shimmering cardstock and i used one of the words as it is...

... then added white chunky glitter to the other one and adhered it to the bottom of my card.

*****

for my second card i chose to create an any occasion card -

"HELLO"

i used a white card base, which i altered with TIM HOLTZ tea dye distress ink. then i adhered two layers of pattern paper on top of it and start arranging my design.

i used pattern paper to die cut the frame {sweet frames "HELLO" die} and inked its edges to make it pop out from the background. for the owlette i used WHISPERS "little owlette" die and brown cardstock.

to finish off my design i added rhinestones and paper roses.

*****

my third card i created for a very special little girl and of course it had to be all pink and glittery -

"SMILE"

i used sweet frames "SMILE" die and whispers "MAGIC WAND" die. to create this card i used only colored cardstock, no pattern paper.

i adhered all layers with mounting foam tape and added rhinestones and a ribbon bow to finish off my design.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

all the BEST! and i see you again in 2015!

NOVEMBER cards galore with DIE-VERSIONS

hello DIE-VERSIONS fans!

it is NOVEMBER and i've got a few more CHRISTMAS cards, feat. our "CHRISTMAS IN JULY" release, to share. i've been really busy the last month and i hope that this year i will be able to send only hand made cards to all my friends and family... finally! :-)

"TIS THE SEASON"

for my first card i used the cute FRIENDS FOREVER bears,

but when i created the 3-d effect, i though that there was something missing. so, i die cut the flying SANTA image two times using gold and white cardstock and DIE-VERSIONS whispers "SANTA's REINDEERS" die

for my title i used sweet wordlets "TIS THE SEASON" die and white carstock. i adhered double sided tape to the cardstock and run it through my machine. after i die cut the image, i removed the second protective layer and sprinkled red glitter on top of it.

*****

"SEASON'S GREETINGS"

for my second card i used KAISERCRAFT's collection "YELITIDE".

i decorated the corner of the card using die cuts from the COLLECTABLE pack, matching the paper line and a few holly branches cut with DIE-VERSIONS whispers "HOLLY BRANCH" die.

for the title i used sweet wordlets "SEASON's GREETINGS" die and beige pattern paper.

i hope you enjoyed my post today!

THANK YOU for stopping by and see you next month!

HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers NOVEMBER blog hop

hello HEARTFELT CREATIONS friends!

and WELCOME to the HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers NOVEMBER blog hop!

and here is a bit of CHRISTMAS inspiration from me:

for my card i used dark blue cardstock and HCDP1 225 frosty blanket paper collection. before adhering all the layers together, i ruffled their edges and used double sided mounting tape to give extra dimension between the different layers.

for the CHRISTMAS wreath i used the foliage die from HCD718 decorative chateau gate die and the green paper from the HCDP1 225 frosty blanket paper collection. i fussy cut the small poinsettias from the pattern paper and added STICKLES glitter glue champagne to them.

for the sentiment i used HCPC3561 christmas sentiment circles precut set with COLORBOX pigment ink ICE. after the ink has dried, i die cut the sentiment using SPELLBINDERS small circles.

to finish off my design i added a silver ribbon bow.

i hope you enjoyed today's creation!

MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello scrappy friends!

can you believe that it is just one month until CHRISTMAS... again... and this year we will take our family photo... again... but i haven't put even the pictures of ELISE's first CHRISTMAS (from about 12 year ago) in an album yet...

so, i rolled up my sleeves, got KAISERCRAFT's newest YULETIDE collection on my craft table, pictures from ELISE's first christmas and this is the result -

"MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS"

i used two different papers to create the background. for the first layer i used KAISERCARD stone wave cardstock. to alter the cardstock i stamped the corner pattern TIM HOLTZ distress ink pad tea dye and KAISERCRAFT clear stamp lattice. then i added a second layer with KAISERCRAFT clear stamp bubble wrap and KAISERCOLOUR paint mocha.

for second layer of my background i used the MERRY die-cut paper from the same collection. i sprayed it with DYLUSIONS red spray and added extra dimension with modelling paste and TIM HOLTZ layering stencil. after everything has dried, i stamped the sentiment from the YULETIDE collection clear stamp set and separated the holly leaves carefully from the upper side.

to create the large poinsettia i used TIM HOLTZ poinsettia die and red and green pattern papers from the small paper pad. i inked the edges of the leaves and stamped the brown pattern on the green layer with KAISERCRAFT distress clear stamp. to create the center of the flower i used LIQUID PEARLS.

the holly branches around my picture i cut from the papers from the small PAPER PAD and the FESTIVE 12 x 12″ patter paper. i shaped them using an embossing tool and adhered them to the background using mounting foam tape and KAISERCRAFT mounting foam dots.

the cute SANTA CLAUS next to my picture is from the COLLECTABLES pack matching the collection as well as most of the other die cut embellishments.

for my title and subtitles i used stickers from the 12″ sticker sheet, which i adhered with mounting foam tape.

and finally i added red rhinestones to finish off my design.

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

have a lovely scrappy weekend!

merry and bright {MERLY IMPRESSIONS}

hello scrappy friends!

it is almost CHRISTMAS and all the paper craft companies are releasing the most amazing CHRISTMAS collections! KAISERCAFT is no exception! you can find the very merry and really beautiful YULETIDE collection at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store

and here is a bit of inspiration from me -

"MERRY and BRIGHT"

the shabby vintage look and feel of this paper line is just what i was looking for to create layouts with all the pictures i have from CHRISTMAS past!

i created this layout for the NOVEMBER sketch challenge at MERLY IMPRESSIONS. this month the sketch is design by our very own DEBORAH WOOD:

for my background i used KAISERCARD stone wave cardstock. i softened the colour in the middle by adding a thin layer of RANGER gesso and then i sprinkled red spray on top of it. after the gesso has dried, i stamped the frame using TIM HOLTZ distress ink pad tea dye and KAISERCRAFT clear stamp grundge background. then i added a second layer with KAISERCARFT clear stamp bubble wrap and KAISERCOLOUR paint mocha

to finish off my background i added two red 12″ pattern stripes with different motives.

i used stickers from the 12″ sticker sheet matching the collection, which i adhered with mounting foam tape.

i used RANGER STICKLES gold and christmas red to finish off the background design and to alter some of the die cut elements.

after all the ink and paints have dried, i started arranging my page. i used two small pictures (7,5 x 10 cm) and an image from the TRADITIONS foil pattern paper as a central point of my design. i decorated the pictures with die cut elements from the COLLECTABLES pack matching the collection…

… fussy cut elements from the pattern papers from the small PAPER PAD

and ribbon from the KAISERCRAFT lace pack – natural. i adhered my embellishments using mounting foam tape and KAISERCRAFT mounting foam dots.

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

don’t forget you’ve got until 1 pm on 13th of december, 2014 to add your creation to the gallery under the MERLY IMPRESSIONS' november sketch challenge. we will then choose our favourite layout to win a fantastic prize – a £25.00 voucher to spend on anything you want from the merly impressions online store. how awesome is that!

have a great scrappy day!

hugs 'n smiles,
