the LITTLE MOMENTS {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello crafty peeps!

it is almost the end of the month and it is time for my third and last post for MERLY IMPRESSIONS blog. as you already know this month i had the pleasure to design with KAISERCRAFT’s antique bazaar collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}.

for my previous projects i used vintage photos from my grandmother, but this time i decided to create a page about our little family. i just couldn’t miss the opportunity to use these amazing family quotes!

so, here it is –

"THE LITTLE MOMENTS"

for my background i used KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock, which i altered with TIM HOLTZ layering stencil BUBBLE, and mini distress ink pads – TUMBLED GLASS and TEA DYE.

when I was satisfied with the result, i added a see-through layer in the middle using KAISERMIST spray ink TURQUOISE {TIP! if you open the cap of the bottle, you can use the mist as paint and apply it with a brush to your project – the easiest way to get a light coloured layer with shimmer}.

when the ink has dried i stamped the black pattern using the DISTRESS CLEAR STAMP and BLACK ink pad

once i was done altering the cardstock, i cut off about 0.5 cm from each side, ruffled its edges using TIM HOLTZ PAPER DISTRESSER and mat it onto the black side of the SALVAGE pattern paper.

to create the layers under my picture i used the mini PAPER PAD matching the ANTIQUE BAZAAR collection. i shaped the edges with an edge punch and added the sticker border {12″ sticker sheet} to mix the colours a bit.

to decorate my page i used die cuts from the mini PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack. i layered them and adhered them with MOUNTING foam tape

for the flower cluster i used KAISERCRAFT paper blooms SAGE and mini paper blooms COCONUT {TIP! dip your fingertips in black ink and smudge it gently onto the white flowers}. i surrounded the flowers with die cut swirls and leaves {decorative die FOLIAGE}, made with KAISERCARD black premium cardstock and pattern paper form the mini PAPER PAD

as a finishing touch i added a few RHINESTONES black

 i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

THANK YOU for visiting me and come back soon!

time is a storyteller {KAISERCRAFT & MERLY IMPRESSIONS}

hello scrappy friends!

thank you so much for dropping by!

today i would like to share a brand new project i created for MERLY IMPRESSIONS using one of my favourite KAISERCRAFT collections "ANTIQUE BAZAAR" {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' online store}.

on the picture is my grandma again, but about 10 years after her girly school photo, ca. 1944-45.

i used the RECYCLE pattern paper for my background. to lighten the colour of the paper i added a layer of GESSO in the middle. for the dimensional pattern i used KAISERCRAFT damask quarters 12×12 stencil and RANGER INK texture paste. once the paste has dried, i sprinkled a bit of KAISERMIST spray ink – antique gold on top of the background paper.

i used the MINI PAPER PAD to create the layers under my picture. i shaped the edges of the patter papers using MARTHA STEWART punch and adhered the different layers with mounting foam tape.
to embellish my layout i used different sayings from the 12″ sticker sheet

i also used KAISERCRAFT paper blooms terracotta and mini paper blooms coconut.
to die cut the leafy flourishes i used KAISERCRAFT decorative die foliage and MARIANNE DESIGN leafy dies. i used die cut edges and KAISERCRAFT lace natural.

 the pearly swirl is also from KAISERCRAFT – elegant pearl flourish latte. i used PEARLS champagne to decorate the die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack

i used different die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack and fussy cut elements from the MINI PAPER PAD.

TIP! if you are not satisfied with the colour of the die cut, you can alter it by adding a thin layer of KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold or any other colour. it will give a light shimmer to the paper – look at the black frame under my sentiment.

thank you so much for dropping by!

have a lovely day!

mixed-media cards with chippies {SA CRAFTERS}

hello crafty friends!

it is my turn on SA CRAFTERS' blog today and i've prepared two very different mixed-media cards, loaded with chippies, for my post over there. and of course, i would like to share them with you as well!

TIP! there is a brand NEW video tut at the end of this post -

"FRIENDSHIP"

to create my cards i used papers from KAISERCRAFT "antique bazaar" collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' online store} and gold cardstock.

i covered the gold cardstock with gesso to soften the colour and ruffled the edges of the pattern paper.

to embellish my quote i used SA CRAFTERS chipboard frames set 3 pc. i atered the frame with STAMPENDOUS shabby white embossing enamel.

i kept the small hearts from the sides of the frame, altered them with STICKLES red glitter glue.

"LEARN, LIVE, HOPE"

for my second card i used the same paper line from KAISERCRAFT "antique bazaar" {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' online store} and brown and white cardstock. i adhered all the layers with mounting foam tape.

to alter my background i used two different SA CRAFTERS stencils. first i covere the cardstock with TIM HOLTZ brown distress ink. then i used the 6x6 triangle stencil with black ink to create the black pattern and 6x6 chevron mixed sides stencil with texture paste to create the chevron dimensional layer. finally i sprinkled KAISERMIST "antique gold" on top of it.

to embellish my card i used WOOD POST IT STAMPS 3 pc.

and the large gear wheel from the CHIPBOARD GEARS set, which i altered with STAMPENDOUS aged copper embossing enamel.

SA CRAFTERS products used on these projects:
6 x 6 Chevron Mixed Sides stencil

MEMORIES with antique bazaar {KAISERCRAFT & MERLY IMPRESSIONS}

hello crafty friends!

it is the beginning of MAY and as usual it is time for the monthly KAISERCRAFT reveal on my blog - which collection i'm going to present this month... this month i've got a very special line to design with... my personal favourite of 2015 release {so far}...

this month i’ve got the great pleasure to work with KAISERCRAFT’s antique bazaar collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}!

the vintage look and feel, the classic frames and the time embellishments are just perfect for any heritage themed layout! and here is what i came up with -

"MEMORIES"

this is a picture of my grandmother taken ca. 1934 when she was at school. i recently found a whole box full with pictures from my grand parents and their parents, and some of them are simply amazing! luckily i’ve got KAISERCRAFT’s antique bazaar collection to design with this month, so stay tuned – there will be more vintage layouts coming!

for my background i used RESTORE pattern paper – the grey side. i ruffled its edges using TIM HOLTZ paper distresser and then i mat the pattern paper onto KAISERCRAFT coffee bean weave cardstock.

to alter the background further i used different KAISERCRAFT clear stamps – “GRUNGE” and “POSTMARKS”. the word “memories” i stamped with the CLEAR STAMPS SET matching the collection and TIM HOLTZ mini distress ink pad TEA DYE.

to create the dimensional pattern i used KAISERCRAFT damask quarters 12×12 stencil and RANGER INK texture paste. once the paste has dried, i sprinkled a bit of KAISERMIST spray inks – RED and TURQUOISE.

i used the PAPER PAD to create the layers under my picture. at the end of every KAISERCRAFT paper pad you will find four sheets with exclusive die cuts. i find the borders really useful when creating different colour/shape layers.

 the clock faces, the framed quotes and the other embellishments are die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack or fussy cut elements from pattern papers from the small PAPER PAD or the SALVAGE 12″ pattern paper.

 i hope i managed to inspire you today!

have a lovely creative week!
