REALITY HAS LIMITS {sa crafters}

hello scrappy friends!

this is my second project for SA CRAFTERS and i can honestly say that i LOVE their products! the designs, the shapes and the masks - everything works perfectly together and helps you to create your very own masterpiece!

for this layout i decided to work with last summer's pictures of THEO. he is really into the TRANSFORMERS now. the autobots are his heroes and more than everything in this world he would love to meet OPTIMUS PRIME. 

when we were on vacation last summer, he found this graffiti on the street (the logo of the decepticons - the evil robots) and his first thought was "look, mommy, they are real!". he was so pleased and excited, and being a 4-year-old this was the only prove he needed to believe that they are walking among us.

"REALITY HAS LIMITS..."

for my layout i used FANCY PANTS DESIGNS "collecting moments" paper line and DCWV "tattered time" mini paper stack. after distressing the edges of the HOMEWORK pattern paper, i mat it onto a black cardstock. using SA CRAFTERS 6x6" brick wall stencil and modelling paste, i created the brick wall pattern on my background. then i stamped the gears pattern using DEEP RED STAMP and spattered TATTERED ANGELS "black olive" GLIMMER GLAZE. 

after everything has dried, i begin arranging my design. i altered the chipboard bricks {SA CRAFTERS chipboard brick wall no. 2} with VERSAMARK ink and DONNA SALAZAR black embossing powder. i didn't want cover the complete bricks, to give them worn out, distressed look.

i used FLOURISH WITH A BLING bella rhinestone flourishes black to frame one of my pictures and FWAB adhesive rhinestones 100 pack black to decorate my layout. 

to embellish my pictures i used various pattern papers from the same collection and die cuts. i die cut a cardstock edge using TIM HOLTZ "scrollwork" on the edge die and i coloured it with RANGER "jet black" archival ink.

i printed the two TRANSFORMERS logos and the title on glossy picture paper and carefully fussy cut them to use them on my page.

and finally i added one of the wooden tags from the SENTIMENTS set 1 just as it was. i think it fits my colour palette perfectly and the saying matches exactly the meaning of my pictures!

birds of a feather birthday card {susan k. weckesser}

hello crafty friends! 

it is my turn over at SUSAN K. WECKESSER's blog and i've got a lovely birthday card to share with you. 

to create it i used materials from susan k. weckesser, ranger ink, fancy pants and may arts ribbon. 

this time i decided to create a birthday card with a cute pink bird on it: 

 to create the layers on my card i used different dies from SPELLBINDERS.

for the base of my card i used one of FANCY PANTS' vintage collections - it's the little things: 

i cut different shapes from pattern papers and then i distress their edges with RANGER INK brown ink pad. i layered them using mounting foam tape. 

 for my birdie i used susan k weckesser & studio 12 "birds of a feather" stamp set: 

i colored the image with TIM HOLTZ distress markers. 

to finish off my card i added a double golden ribbon bow using may arts ribbon.

a hand-made CHRISTMAS STOCKING {susan k. weckesser inc.}

it's time for the 5th annual CHRISTMAS LOVE CAMPAIGN with SUSAN K WECKESSER INC.

this is such a special cause and i hope you will participate with us this year!

to jump-start everyone with some inspiration, we, the designers at SUSAN K WECKESSER INC are celebrating a HANDMADE CHRISTMAS from november 2-16, and sharing projects handmade in honor of this campaign. we were provided a great selection of products to work with by some amazingly generous sponsors. a HUGE THANK YOU to our sponsors!

for my project i used products by SUSAN K WECKESSER & UNITY, CANVAS CORP, TATTERED ANGELS, 7GYPSIES and MAY ARTS RIBBON.

for my base i used CANVAS CORP raw canvas stockings. i decided to add the star pattern using TATTERED ANGELS "ferrari red" glimmer mist chalkboard and PRIMA marketing "stars" masking template.

i decorated the edge of the stocking with a decorative stitch made with a golden threat.

after the glimmer mist was dry, i sewed two stripes of MAY ARTS RIBBON to the top part of my stocking. the large golden one i folded in a pattern to give a more festive look to my project.

then, i tied a bow, where i wanted my tags to hang, using two different types of MAY ARTS RIBBON.

for my tags i used the special CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN SNOWMAN stamp from SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC.

i decided to color the snowman with different embossing powders from SPARKLE N SPRINKLE. i used the following embossing powders: gold detail [EP168], golden sparkle [EP106] and firecracker red [EP291]. then i adhered it with mounting double sided tape to the tag base.

to create my tags i used 7GYPSIES santa's journey gift tags. i fussy cut some of the images and adhered them to the base tags with a 3d tape.

island in the SUN {DT work for scrapbook challenges}

as you know the 2nd annual SIZZLIN' SUMMER of SKETCHES is on at SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES. you will have 20 extra sketches to complete during the month of august and there are some wonderful prizes to be won of course!

here is my take on sketch #6:

"island in the SUN"

and here is the sketch i based my layout on:

i flipped the sketch to be able to use vertical pictures. they are from few years ago when we were in the dominican republic for our christmas holiday. ELISE was so happy just to run in the sun and i couldn't stop myself taking pictures of her:-)

i used FANCY PANTS "rusted sun" collection and a lot of different stamps {i'm really addicted to stamping lately:-)}.

i colored my background with PANPASTELS and then i stamped on it. i used MARTHA STEWART "daisy fan" deep edge punch to create the green border.

instead of journaling spots i added hidden tags behind the pictures. i used DONNA DOWNEY rubber stamps for my sentiment on this tag:

and TIM HOLTZ "postcards" stamp set on this one: 

i left one tag blank for when i fill like writing a personal note to my sweet little ELISE;

i used the crafter's workshop "mini circle explosion" doodling template and modeling paste to create the pattern on the blue pattern paper.

for the title i used TIM HOLTZ "alphabetical" cutting die and brown cardstock.

i coloured the PRIMA resistant canvas with glimmer mist and added the cloud and the rain drops on top of it. i used FLOURISH WITH A BLING "up in the sky" embellishment set.

water fun {DT work for scrapbook challenges}

hello scrappy friends!

i'm hosting the monthly PRODUCT challenge at scrapbook challenges.

this month i've got a pretty messy one for you - it's all about the GLITTER.

all you have to do is get your glitter glue / powder and start glittering!

the MAY theme is FAMILY and that's why i used pictures from our FAMILY vacation in ANTALYA for my project - 

WATER FUN

as you can see i used a lot of GLITTER on my page.

i used the amazing FANCY PANTS "rusted sun" collection in combination with tattered angels screen prints  "coastal breeze". after i stamped my image i added stickles "copper" glitter glue to it. 

there is a lot of glitter on FANCY PANTS glitter cuts:

 i coloured my title with ice stickles "christmas red" glitter glue:

some turquoise glitter glue for decoration:
