emma lou {DT work for heartfelt creations}

hello scrappy friends!

it's heartfelt creations wednesday again and i've got another project to share with you.

heartfelt creations products used on this project

for the background i used the corner boutique paper from pink paislee “vintage vogue” collection. with SEW EASY i pierced two straight lines with holes on the edge of the paper, inked the edges with dark purple ink and used glimmer mist “mardi grass” to create the spatters on the background paper. i used the swirl from HC palace entry precut set to stamp the corners with colorbox pink ink.

i used the eau de perfume paper to create the layers under the picture – each layer is with 0.5 cm bigger than the previous one. using the HC decorative lace border die i cut two laces from the beauty parlor paper, divide d the laces through the middle and arranged them around my picture. the small green lace is made with HC decorative butterfly border die, adhere it to a piece of purple ribbon and add it on the top of the picture. i added two purple heart-shaped buttons on the left side.

the large flower – with HC flora grande 2 precut set i stamped various sizes blossoms on pattern papers with colorbox purple ink. then i punched a few starburst flakes and shaped the different layers. i added 3d foam tape under some of the petals to create extra dimension. for a step-by-step tutorial on how to create the large flower, click HERE.

the small flowers – i stamped various sizes flowers with HC posy patch flowers precut set on a double sided paper. i cut them out with HC posy patch die, embossed the individual petals, shaped them by hand and attached the different layers with a brad in the middle.

with HC belle rose die i cut two green flourishes with leaves and begin arranging the different elements around the picture. then i stamped a sentiment from HC inspire me sentiments precut set with colorbox light brown ink under the flourishes.

i stamped the second sentiment on a piece of pinkish pattern paper. with the smallest flourish from HC feather grass flourish precut set and light purple ink i created the frame around the sentiment, inked the edges with darker ink and adhered the label to a window die cut made with HC decorative chateau gate die.

i used basic grey "cappella" cardstock alphabet stickers for the title.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

baptism card {DT work for HEARTFELT CREATIONS}

hello lovely friends,

it's wednesday again and it is time for another HEARTFELT CREATIONS project from me. this week i've prepared a card, using the HC newest release "chateau gate collection".

i used the following heartfelt products on this project:

begin by creating the basis for your card. cut a rectangle 18 x 26 cm from white cardstock, fold it in two and stamp the sentiment with colorbox silver ink on the inside of your card. using the large flourish from HC feather grass flourish set create the silver frame around it. let it dry.

from silver cardstock cut a 12 x 17 cm large rectangle and adhere to the base. cut another rectangle {11,5 x 16,5 cm} from white cardstock. draw the church building by hand. when it is ready, outline it with silver marker. stamp the background scenery from the HC mystic hideaways set carefully around the building. with the large flourish from HC feather grass flourish set create the silver frame. paint the sky with a blue COPIC CIAO marker.

stamp the wooden portal from HC grand portal set on white cardstock. cut it with HC decorative chateau gate die and die cutting machine. stamp the wooden portal on the back side of your die, colour the swirls with a brown copic ciao marker and cut the gate open. adhere the gate on top of your church using 3d double-sided tape to create dimension. cut the area inside the gate open, so you can see the silver cardstock through the gate.

stamp two of the doorway trimmings from HC doorway trimmings set and colour them with copic ciao markers. place them around the gate. stamp few of the smallest flowers from HC posy patch flowers set on pink cardstock. cut them by using HC posy patch die and a die cutting machine, emboss the petals and add a white pearl in the middle. arrange them around the doorway trimmings.

glue the cross embellishment on the roof of the church and your card is complete.

have a wonderful day!

bright future {DT work for heartfelt creations}

hello scrappy friends!

it's HEARTFELT CREATIONS wednesday again! and this week i've got a FANTASTIC NEWS for you - since 1st of january every second wednesday of the month HEARTFELT CREATION will be presenting their NEW product lines! which means that every month you will have even more HC goodies to play with!

this week we are presenting the CHATEAU GATE COLLECTION. this collection is "magnificent" and the intricate detail in each of the designs is absolutely beautiful. this collection is very versatile and you will be able to create projects for the men in your life, invites, graduations, love, congrats and so many more! it features 9 precut stamp sets and one beautiful new exclusive spellbinders die designed for HEARTFELT CREATIONS.

i had the chance to play with this collection and here is what i created:

i used the following heartfelt creations products in this project:

i began by preparing the frames for my pictures. i used a 13,5 x 18,5 cm brown cardstock and 14 x 19 cm green cardstock to create the layers under the large picture. to create the frame around the smaller picture i stamp the ornate chateau gate from HC grand portal precut set on a green cardstock on both sides with colorbox brown ink pad. i cut the door frame with the HC decorative chateau gate die and coloured the swirls with a brown copic ciao marker. i cut a second door frame from the same colour cardstock and glued it under the stamped one, slightly off to create layers and dimension. i removed the middle part of the frame and opened the door wings. then, i glued my picture under the frame and cut the edges that stuck out.

i cut out some branches and blooms from pink paislee “nature sanctuary” paper. i stamped different size blossoms on the rest of the pattern paper and different size leaves on green cardstock. i cut them out, embossed the petals and the leaves and cut a few leafy branches from brown cardstock with HC decorative chateau gate die. for a step-by-step tutorial on how to create the flowers, click HERE.

for the background i used the “flowers and blooms” paper from pink paislee's butterfly garden collection. i connected the flowers with a zigzag stitch to create a frame around my design and stamped a brick wall from HC chateau gateway precut set in the middle of the pattern paper to create basis for the pictures.

then i positioned the large picture on the background paper and carefully cut out some of the branches from the pattern paper. i added them on top of my picture and secured them in place with double sided tape. i stamped the sentiment from the HC door to my heart precut set above the big picture.

 and i stamped the second sentiment from the same set on a piece of green cardstock. i distressed its edges and coloured them slightly with pink ink pad. with HC decorative chateau gate die i cut two windows from brown cardstock, glued them together, so it looks like a fancy tag frame and add pink pearls.

i hope you enjoyed my post today!

if you wish to WIN the NEW HC RELEASE and you have to do is to leave a comment on the HC blog by january 17. one LUCKY blogger will WIN the entire release valued at $174.90. the winner will be announced on january 18 on the HC blog.

flower tutorial using the botanical floral precut sets from heartfelt creations

hello scrappy friends!

today, i've got a 3-step tutorial on how to create AMAZING blossoms using the botanical floral precut set from HEARTFELT CREATIONS.

step 1: stamp different sizes flowers and leaves on pattern paper {i used colorbox brown ink pad}; cut the out and add a little bit of darker coloured ink on the edges of the petals.
step 2: using an embossing tool, shape the blossoms and the leaves.
step 3:  the flower center - you can use brads, buttons, eyelets, rhinestones or anything that comes to mind; if you choose a brad, you can use a paper piercing tool to make a hole through all the layers and attach the brad through the hole; shape up the flower, add the leaves and a little bit of glitter and TA-DA!

i hope you found this fast and easy tutorial useful!
come back next wednesday to see the layout i've created, using these flowers!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy
