my little boy {DT work for scrapbook challenges}

hello scrappy friends!

it is another crafty week and we've got a new sketch for you to play with at SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES!

this week sketch is full of STARS and amazing shapes and here is my take on -

"MY LITTLE BOY"

and here is this week's sketch # 334:

some close ups with detailed product information:

i used white cardstock with TIM HOLTZ distress ink "broken china", "dried marigold" and "peeled paint", and DONNA DOWNEY stencil mask. i applied different layers of ink through my page to create an illusion of depth.

i altered the compass body with DONNA SALAZAR "truffle" embossing powder and the compass needle with stampendous aged copper embossing enamel.

i used various punches and fussy cut elements to create the base for my picture. i used MARTHA STEWART "daisy fan" deep edge punch and "double scallop" edge punch.

i used ECHO PARK "little boy" paper collection for this layout. the boat edge i cut from one of the pattern papers. the LOVELY swirl is from FLOURISH WITH A BLING "jasmine puffy flourish orange". i cut it in two to fit my design better.

the title, the boat and the stars are all fussy cut from the paper pack.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

can't wait to see your amazing creations in SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES gallery!

boys will be boys {DT work for FWAB}

hello scrappy friends!

today i've got a very special project to share with you

"boys will be boys"

these pictures were taken last summer with our little BOYZONE babies:-)

on the picture is little THEO {my baby} with IVAN and MISHO {from my besties}. they were born just a few months apart and who knows may be one day they will be best friends too:-)

for this layout i used ECHO PARK "little boy" collection - i just love the bright vibrant colours and the cute embellishments of this paper line. it's perfect for little boys.

i started by adding colour to a white cardstock with PANPASTELS. after i was done, i stamped the corner with TIM HOLTZ stamp and added dots with a brown paint dabber from RANGER. in the middle i added a pearl from flourish with a bling colour teal and olive green.

the relief pattern on the cardstock is made with TCW mask and modelling paste. i coloured the waves with panpastels.

for the gear i used TIM HOLTZ "gadget gears" die. i cut few of each wheel, layered the same size gears together to get a chipboard effect and covered them with gesso. after they were dry, i added colour with TIM HOLTZ crackle paint and distress ink pads.

the blue swirl is from FLOURISH WITH A BLING "chloe pearl flourish blue".

i used many DYLUSIONS stamps to decorate my page

the cute ribbon with cars is from K & COMPANY. i shaped the pattern paper edge with MARTHA STEWART "stars" edge punch.

i colored the DYLUSIONS stamp with TIM HOLTZ distress markers.

i hope you liked today's post.

i created this layout as an example for the monthly challenge at FLOURISH WITH A BLING "bling it on boys". you still have about a week to join in and to get a chance to win an amazing prize from FWAB.

i hope to see your creations in FWAB gallery.

it's the little things {DT work for scrapbook challenges}

hello scrappy friends!

i've got a brand new layout to share with you:

"it's the little things"

this layout is based on SKETCH 310 from scrapbook challenges:

i flipped the sketch a bit to be able to use these pictures of little baby THEO {i know, i know... he is not a baby anymorem but i really would like him to be:-)}

i used the amazing "little boy" paper collection from ECHO PARK.

first i began stamping my background frame with DYLUSIONS "inbetweenies" stamp set and then i used the crafter's workshop "gears" mask with different shades of green and blue {panpastels} to create the pattern in the middle.

i used different pattern papers to create the base for my pictures. the green stripes are cut with TIM HOLTZ'  "washer border" die. i cut the train from the pattern paper.

the banner is stamped with DYLUSIONS "further around the edge" stamp set. the circles are stamped with "around the edge" set.

for the title i used TIM HOLTZ' "good thoughts" stamp set. i stamped the sentiment few times on white cardstock to be able to separate the different lines.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

and i can't wait to see your creations in SC gallery!

little boy {sketch 268}

hello lovely friends!

it's another week and another AMAZING sketch challenge at scrapbook challenges. this week the sketch was designed from our VERY TALENTED dt member anna white-sharman.

she will tell you that this is her first sketch, but when you look at it - it is HARD to believe. there are great details and the composition of the elements is just PERFECT!

here is what i came up with:

i used the "little boy" collection from echo park. i just LOVE the bright colours and boyish design of this paper line!

there is a lot of stitching and doodling on this layout, but otherwise it wouldn't be MINE.

the stars pattern is made with bazzil's stitching patterns.

i cut out some of the journalling cards included in the kit. i stitched and stamped them and this is the result:

the alphabet letters are also from the collection kit:

as i said - i did a lot of doodling:

thank you for taking the time to visit my blog! i truly appreciate every scrappy friend!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy
