hello scrappy peeps!

JUNE is almost gone and i still have one more layout to share with you featuring the whimsical MERMAID TAILS collectionGLITTER CARDSTOCK and BURLAP {all the products are available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}. i created this project for MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog -

"LIKE STARS"

rhinestones -ROSE

TIM HOLTZ mixatives - SILVER ink

OTHERS:
WHITE gel pen
SILVER embossing powder
heat gun

close ups of my project with a few TIPS & TRICKS:

take four sheets from the BURLAP STACK – 6×6 paper pad and adhere them to KAISERCARD weave cardstock - PAPAYA. the joints can be covered later with pattern paper and embellishments.
TIP! remove a few treads from two of their sides before adhering them to give your background a ruffled look!

for the dimensional layer use TIM HOLTZ layering stencil BUBBLE and RANGER texture paste. smudge GESSO around the stenciled areas to soften the colour of the burlap and sprinkle KAISERMIST spray ink – AQUAKAISERMIST spray ink - WISTERIA and TIM HOLTZ mixatives - SILVER ink. allow the background to dry.

for the shiny silver fishes and turtles i used the clear stamps matching this collection and distress ink pad – CLEAR embossing. then i heat embossed them with SILVER embossing powder.

i decorated the die cuts and the embellishments with different colour rhinestones – LILACAQUAMARINE and ROSE.

i hope you enjoyed my post today!

have a great day and come back soon!

HAPPY monday and a very successful week to all of you!

WHITE gel pen
SEAHORSES cutting die
MARTHA STEWART – punch around the page set – CHERISH
MARTHA STEWART – edge punch – BEACH SHELLS
MARTHA STEWART - edge punch - SCALLOP 3 DOT

close ups of my project with a few TIPS & TRICKS:

to create the 3D-effect fussy cut one of the corners from the SEA TURTLE pattern paper and adhere it with mounting foam tape to the DOLPHIN pattern paper.

to give your background a distressed look sprinkle KAISERMIST spray ink – WHITE and SILVER ink.

TIP! you can adhere the left over sparkly dots from the punched border to the background paper to mimic water drops!

use MARTHA STEWART edge punches to shape the layers under the picture.

to decorate my page i used die cut sea horses from burlap {BURLAP STACK – 6×6 paper pad}.

TIP! adhere the title strip on a white cardstock to make it pop out from the background.

i used flowers from PAPER BLOOMS - sunset and PAPER BLOOMS - hot pink to create the flowery corner. the foliage is cut with decorative die - MINI FOLIAGEdecorative die - FOLIAGEglitter cardstock - LAGOON and weave cardstock - COCONUT.

to finish off my design i added rhinestones – LILAC.

BE YOURSELF {merly impressions & kaisercraft}

hello crafty peeps!

THANK YOU for stopping by!

can you believe that we are almost half way through the year?... and so far it has been so much FUN! today i would like to share my latest project with you featuring the whimsical MERMAID TAILS collection from KAISERCRAFT {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store} and a lot of fussy cutting -

"BE YOURSELF"

close ups of my project with a few TIPS & TRICKS:

to compete the under-the-water scenery, stamp different images from the clear stamps set with
clear embossing ink directly onto the background paper and heat emboss the set.

TIP! to make the STICKER fishes pop, outline them with a WHITE gel pen.

to create the 3D background use the SEA FOAM pattern paper as base and adhere different fussy cut elements from the SEA TURTLE pattern paper and RIPPLES pattern paper, and fussy cut flowers from the mini PAPER PAD on top of it.

TIP! trace some of the words from the title with a glittery GEL PEN to make them pop!
i did the same with the fishes too :-)

to decorate the page use die cut elements from the mini PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack...

... and stickers from the STICKER sheet.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

have a LOVELY & PEACEFUL weekend!
