#PRETTY #ME {creative embellishments}

hello scrappy friends!

i don’t know about you, but i’m absolutely in love with CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS’ amazing FRAMES chippies! the designs are so versatile, that you can use them on every type of project and they will always look perfect!

here is what i created using the fancy rectangle frame set

"#PRETTY #ME"

 i altered the large frame from the fancy rectangle frame set  with SNS white detail embossing powder, before adding it to my page.

for my layout i used PRIMA MARKETING papers and stencils. i added the white butterfly design using dimensional paste and a background stencil.

to embellish my layout i used fussy cut paper elements, die cuts and chipboard flourishes of course – CE flourish set 17. for the fussy cut elements i used JODIE LEE "fairy rhymes"paper line.

i altered the chipboard flourishes with SNS cappuccino opaque embossing powder, before adhering them to my project.

the pretty blossoms are from PETALOO. and for the die cut elements i used various MARIANNE design dies.

for my title i used another one of my favorite CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS chipboard sets – social hash tags. i covered the letters with SNS white detail embossing powder first, and the i added a pink layer on top. after the embossing powder has cooled down, i adhered the chippies with 3d foam squares to my layout.

 i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

always believe {MERLY IMPRESSIONS}

hello scrappy friends!

if you have some spare time this month, i've got the perfect challenge for you - the MAY challenge from MERLY IMPRESSIONS "spring is in the air".

this month i have the pleasure to create with the amazing HONEY CHAI collection from KAISERCRAFT.
creating a SPRING themed layout was very easy with this paper line - just look at the soft green colours and all the flourishes.

i used one of ELISE’s most recent pictures, taken this spring in WREST PARK.

i used KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock as a base for my layout. i added a layer of soft green pattern, using PRIMA marketing masking template and PANPASTELS. after the fixative has dried, i did a bit of stamping, using the wonderful clear stamps from KAISERCRAFT - i used the "hummingbird" set, "film edges" stamp and "lattice" clear stamp.

i fussy cut the swirly frame from the CLOVE gloss paper and adhered it with mounting foam tape to the cardstock to create the frame around my design. i added KAISERCRAFT rhinestones lilac to decorate the edges.

i layered my picture on different colours pattern paper from the 6.5" paper pad. i used MARTHA STEWART punches to create the edges on the different layers. when i was ready, i embossed them slightly and decorated the top one with KAISERCRAFT self adhesive pearls, colour lush.

i used die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack to embellish my page.

to cut the foliage and the ferns, i used various dies from MARIANNE design.

i also used two different types of KAISERCRAFT flowers – mini paper blooms “amethyst” and paper blooms “sage”.

here is the complete list with all the products, you can find at the MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store:

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

and don’t forget you’ve got until June 2nd, 2014 to add your creation to the gallery under the may challenge post. we will then choose our favourite layout to win a fantastic prize – a £25.00 voucher to spend on anything you want from the MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store.

have a wonderful day!

capture the moment {creative embellishments MAY challenge}

hello lovely friends!

i can't believe it is time for another monthly challenge at CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS! time really flies when you are having scrappy FUN!

this month we've got a sketch and a lovely spring photograph to boost your creativity and here is what i came up with:

"CAPTURE THE MOMENT"

and here are the sketch:

and the inspiration picture:

to create my layout i took the idea of spring and flowers from the inspiration picture, then i flipped the sketch and added a picture of my favorite munchkins.

to frame my picture i used creative embellishments' “OUT OF THIS WORLD” frame chipboard, which i divided in two to fit the sketch better. i altered the chippie with a layer of a white embossing powder first and then i added another layer of a sage coloured embossing powder on top.

to finish off the design, i added the yellow dots using RANGER INK liquid pearls.

for my page i used PRIMA MARKETING "jack & jill" paper line. i did a lot of fussy cutting...

and layering.

the title is created with CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' capture this moment chipboard set. i altered it with brown embossing powder and a layer of TIM HOLTZ' clear rock candy crackle paint to give it distressed look.

i used also a small camera from the same chipboard set.

to decorate my page further i used pattern paper butterflies and chipboard hexagons from CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS' “hexagons” chipboard set. there are 10 laser cut chipboard hexagons about 3"and smaller in the set, which makes them perfect for any type of project!

i coloured the resist canvas pieces with TIM HOLTZ' distress ink pads.

here is a list with all the CE products i used on my page:

i hope you enjoyed today's post!
