quick and easy cards for every occasion {susan k weckesser inc.}

hello crafty friends!

it is my turn over at SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. blog and i've got two quick and colourful cards to share:

these cards are very easy to create and all you need is SUSAN K. WECKESSER INC. whimsical papers, colorful cardstock, SPARKLE N SPRINKLE white detail embossing powder and UNITY STAMPS "abc.123.washi" stamp set.

to create the cards i used the live in color tags whimsical paper and blue, pink and craft coloured cardstock.
 to separate the different layers, i distressed the edges on the first one and then i punched the edges on the second with MARTHA STEWART edge punches. i adhered the different layers with 3d tape.

i fussy cut the sentiment from its frame, layered it on a cardstock and adhere it to its original base with 3d tape. then i added it on top of the cardstock layer with punched edges.

to give extra dimension to my projects i stamped the alphabet washi tape from the UNITY STAMPS "abc.123.washi" stamp set with versamark ink and heat embossed it with SNS white detail embossing powder.

to finish off my design i added the colorful banner, STCKLES silver glitter glue and rhinestones to my cards.

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

'tis the season {creative embellishments}

hello scrappy friends!

i've got very merry nostalgic CHRISTMAS layout to share today. “nostalgic”, because it is with my little doll ELISE when she was still enjoying pink and princesses. now she is almost 11 and she has a lot of favorite colors, but pink is not one of them anymore -

"'TIS THE SEASON"

 to create my page i used WEBSTER'S PAGES "waiting for SANTA" paper line, THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP and TIM HOLTZ masking templates, distress inks, SPARKLE N SPRINKLE red embossing powder and CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS chippies of course.

to alter my background i used green and red distress ink and with TIM HOLTZ masking templates. as a finishing touch i added small dots with STICKLES "christmas red" glitter glue.

 i added also a bit of snowflake pattern with dimensional paste and THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "mini circle explosion" masking template. i fussy cut the green ornaments from the pattern paper.

 i added the poinsettia flowers…

 … and chipboard arrows {made from CE chevron border / background chipboard set – i cut one of the borders in pieces and altered the small arrows with SNS firecracker red embossing powder

yo embellish my layout, i used snippets from the journalling cards, matching this paper line...

and fussy cut elements from the 12 x 12" pattern papers.

i decorated my CHRISTMAS tree with a package of vintage valentine's day heart shape shimmering brads from MAKING MEMORIES. the colours were perfect match for my design.

here is a list with some of the products, i used on this page:

i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

summer smile {SPARKLE N SPRINKLE}

hello sparkly friends!

i've got a new sparkly layout to share today!

i don’t know about you, but i’m really done with the rainy cold weather in HOLLAND.
here is something to look forward to -

"SUMMER SMILE"

 lately i'm really into customized background papers:-) there are so much fun to create and you can really match the look and feel of your picture in the most perfect way!

here is how i created the background for this layout in a few easy-peasy steps:
1. you need a white cardstock, watermark ink, a masking template and your favorite embossing powders.

2. place the template onto the white cardstock sheet. add watermark ink to the areas you want to color first, remove the masking template and sprinkle embossing powder on top of it. heat emboss the set.

3. repeat the steps above for every color you want to add to your background.
 i used SNS moss star embossing powder [EP430] and skylight embossing powder [EP212].

once the embossing powders cool down, you can begin building up your design.

to alter the chipboard frame {CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS "time flies" frame set} i used mediterranean star embossing powder [EP429]. i layered the picture on a slightly bigger light brown cardstock and adhered it under the frame with 3d foam squares.

 i used different pattern papers from the very boyish MY MIND'S EYE "lime twist" collection to embellish my page.

and three different types of washi tape – i used two as a background stripes, from the third one i cut out the little cameras and placed them on the green dotted paper.

for my title i used CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS "social hash tags" chipboard set. i covered the words with SNS white detail embossing powder [EP298] first to create the basis for my main colour - the yellow of the dandy dandelion embossing powder [EP178]. adding a white layer to cover the natural colour of the chippie, really made the yellow shine on my title.

here are some more close ups of my layout:

i fussy cut the little hot air balloons from the pattern paper, embossed them and adhered them to my background with 3d foam squares

as you can see i used the negative of a die cut gear wheel, which i used previously on another layout - yep, i'm saving everything from my favourite collections!

i hope you enjoyed today’s post!
have a great weekend!
