ZVA creative and our talented design team welcome you to our APRIL blog hop!

 we are very excited to kick off another blog hop and to have you join us today. we hope you are inspired all of the beautiful work that we are about to share!

as you know, ZVA offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. if you like what you see along the hop you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell ZVA HERE.

here is what i've created for this month blog hop -

 

i wanted to create a happy whimsical card, so i decided to use white plus one colour - blue, and a lot of layers.

to create my card i used KAISERCRAFT "blubelle" collection, white cardstock and different SPELLBINDERS dies.

for the lovely swirls i used ZVA creative FLOURISH clear crystal. i cut it into different swirls to fit my design better.

i used also ZVA creative basic lines crystal clear to embellish my sentiment.

and here is what i created with the amazing products from both companies:

to create this card i used INSPIRED by STAMPING vintage floral paper pad, craft coloured cardstock, DIE-VERSIONS sweet frames "remember" die and INSPIRED by STAMPING clear stamps.

i used the "it's your birthday" stamp set and brown ink to create the banners.

i fussy cut a lot of different elements from the pattern papers to decorate my card. 

for my sentiment i used pattern paper and the "it's your birthday" stamp set for the title banner.
i added pink mulberry roses and scallop crochet trim to finish off my card.

HAPPY {susan k. weckesser}

hello crafty friends!

it is my turn over at SUSAN K. WECKESSER's blog and i've decided to create a card fit for any occasion, because it just makes you HAPPY - 

using SUSAN K. WECKESSER products always makes me HAPPY, so i thought this sentiment will be perfect for my card. 

i added a lot of layers to my card using SUSAN K. WECKESSER whimsical papers and cardstock.

i used white base for my card, which i altered with SUSAN K. WECKESSER & UNITY STAMPS "abc.123.washi" stamp set. after the ink has dried, i sprayed my background with brown and orange GLIMMER MIST. 

 for my card i used different frames and the birdy journalling spot from SUSAN K. WECKESSER "live in color tags" pattern paper. i stamped on my second layer, using the numbers washi from the "abc.123.washi" stamp set. 

i fussy cut the colourful banners from the pattern paper, inked their edges and tucked them in under the craft layers.

special moment {MERLY IMPRESSIONS & KAISERCRAFT}

MERLY IMPRESSIONS april challenge is up!

this month we challenge you to cut your papers - use "punches, dies or die cuts" to create a stunning layout! 

here is my challenge sample layout, featuring the amazing new "BLUBELLE" collection from KAISERCRAFT.

"SPECIAL MOMENTS"

for my background I used the KAISERCARD navy wave cardstock and the azure pattern paper from the KAISERCRAFT “blubelle” collection. i cut and distressed the edges of the pattern paper and drew a tiny border around it. 

and since the challenge this month is “punches, dies or die-cuts”, i used a lot of all three of them on my page!

for the flower clusters i used KAISERCRAFT paper blooms coral and printed flower die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack. i added die cut flourishes and leaves - i used MARIANNE design dies, KAISERCARD navy wave cardstock and oxford pattern paper.

i decorated some of my die cuts with KAISERCRAFT self adhesive rhinestones dark blue.

to embellish my layout i used various SPELLBINDERS dies {timeless rectangles}, sentiments from the COLLECTABLES pack and the large banner stickers from the BLUBELLE collection 12" sticker sheet.

to create the colourful border i used MARTHA STEWART "vintage doily" border punch with cardstock and pattern paper, die cuts from the 6.5″ paper pad and KAISERCRAFT lace pack white.

the 12″ sticker sheet and the 6,5″ PAPER PAD matching this collection, are perfect to create tailor made embellishments. i fussy cut and layered a lot of different elements from these products.

the banners and the cardstock doily are from the COLLECTABLES pack.

cute friends {creative embellishments}

hello scrappy friends!

i prepared today's projects with the amazing chippies from CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS and the lovely papers from WEBSTER'S PAGES - 

"CUTE FRIENDS"

the picture i used is from EASTER 2013. we were in GREECE with my sister and the kids were really enjoying the warm weather.

to create my layout i used WEBSTER'S PAGES "modern romance" paper line. i did a lot of fussy cutting, embossing and inking to complete my design.

the lovely flowers and the soft colour palette of this collection are perfect for an EASTER layout!

to decorate my page i used different MARTHA STEWART punches and a lot of the amazing chippies from CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS.

i used one of the industrial hanging light bulbs to match the paper design. i altered the chippie with two different embossing powders from SPARKLE N SPRINKLE - copper dreams [EP268] and buttercup petal [EP389].

for my title i used two words from CE social hash tags set, which i covered with a layer of SNS white detail embossing powder [EP298] first and then with buttercup petal [EP389]. covering the chippie with white, allows the yellow colour to really shine.

and finally i divided one of the spring branched from CE flourish set 11 in two and i altered both parts with SNS moss star embossing powder [EP430] and  SNS carnation glitter [G1028].

 i attached the chippies using mounting tape.
