FUN in the SUN {sparkle n sprinkle}

hello scrappy friends!

 it is getting cold and wintery here in HOLLAND, the days are getting shorter and darker, and i'm missing the summer already... hence my bright summer layout, so inappropriate for the season :-)

"FUN IN THE SUN"

i started with a peach cardstock, dimensional paint and TIM HOLTZ "rays" layering stencil. after i applied the paint i sprinkled champagne glitter {G1045} on top of the masked image to achieve the sparkly effect of the sun rays.

  i used flourishes 1 {stamp set #516} and flourishes 2 {stamp set #520} to create the corner design on my layout. i stamped the flourishes with a blue ink first and then i added a second layer with antiquities embossing powder {EP266} on top of it and slightly off.

  i stamped a few sunburst flowers, using the burst stamp with a brown ink and added another layer with by the lake embossing powder {EP400} on top of the stamped image. to complete my design i added small off-white pearls in the middle.

   after the embossing powder cooled down, i added some more texture using modelling paste with different masking templates from THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP "flying geese" and "tiles".

once everything was dry i started working on my design. i stamped the three surf boards from stamp set #455 "surf's up" with versamark watermark ink pad and fiery brown embossing powder {EP369}. then i fussy cut them and colored them with COPIC CIAO markers.

the pattern papers are from WEBSTER'S PAGES.

for my title i used FABSCRAPS "fun in the sun" chipboard with different embossing powders. for the lettered i mixed by the lake embossing powder {EP400} with ebb tide embossing powder {EP361}. for the sun i used the buttercup petal embossing powder {EP389}.
