door knobs in bulgaria {SST round 3}

hello scrappy friends!

today i would like to share another layout with you, which i created for the third round of the SUPREME SCRAP TOURNAMENT

this week the challenge is DOODLE IT - we had to create a layout with lots and lots of doodling on it, minimum 4 photos, but no people on them, handwritten/doodled title and journalling of minimum 20 words. flowers and pre-made alphabets were not allowed on the layout.

and here is what i came up with -

"DOOR KNOBS"

when we go to BULGARIA {my home country} we usually go around with hubby and the kids - there is much to see and i really want my kids to know where they are coming from {or at least a half of them is coming from}. and if you go to the small towns in the mountains, you can see the authentic bulgarian architecture and feel the atmosphere of the 19th century BULGARIA.

these pictures were taken in KOPRIVSHTITSA. here is a short photo expression of this amazing place:

i started with a white cardstock, masking template and different shades of brown distress ink. after the ink was dry, i doodled the frame around my design and started working on the cogs. i used FABER-CASTELL PITT art pens. to finish off my background,  i doodled the title and wrote the journalling.

and here are some close ups of my project:

the chipboard cogs are from CREATIVE EMBELLISHMNETS. i used the gears 1 1/2″, gears 1″, mini gears 3/4″.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

have a lovely sunday!

hugs 'n smiles,
