hello scrappy peeps!
JUNE is almost gone and i still have one more layout to share with you featuring the whimsical MERMAID TAILS collection, GLITTER CARDSTOCK and BURLAP {all the products are available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}. i created this project for MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog -
"LIKE STARS"
rhinestones -ROSE
TIM HOLTZ mixatives - SILVER ink
OTHERS:
WHITE gel pen
SILVER embossing powder
heat gun
close ups of my project with a few TIPS & TRICKS:
for the shiny silver fishes and turtles i used the clear stamps matching this collection and distress ink pad – CLEAR embossing. then i heat embossed them with SILVER embossing powder.
i decorated the die cuts and the embellishments with different colour rhinestones – LILAC, AQUAMARINE and ROSE.
hugs 'n smiles,
take four sheets from the BURLAP STACK – 6×6 paper pad and adhere them to KAISERCARD weave cardstock - PAPAYA. the joints can be covered later with pattern paper and embellishments.
TIP! remove a few treads from two of their sides before adhering them to give your background a ruffled look!
for the dimensional layer use TIM HOLTZ layering stencil BUBBLE and RANGER texture paste. smudge GESSO around the stenciled areas to soften the colour of the burlap and sprinkle KAISERMIST spray ink – AQUA, KAISERMIST spray ink - WISTERIA and TIM HOLTZ mixatives - SILVER ink. allow the background to dry.
use glitter cardstock - LAGOON, weave cardstock - COCONUT, PAPER BLOOMS - grape and hot pink, mini PAPER BLOOMS - amethyst, decorative die - MINI FOLIAGE and FOLIAGE to create the flowery corner.
