fancy little chick

hello bloggers,

when I saw the AMAZING colour palette at color combos galore this week i could not resist!

the moment i saw these colours i knew exactly which paper line i will use - basic grey "URBAN PRAIRIE"! it's the perfect collection for this palette!

so, here is my "FANCY LITTLE CHICK" layout:

on the pictures - my little elise, being ADORABLE in the park! she was about 1 year old, but she already knew that she wants to wear only skirts and dresses...:-)

with this layout i'm also participating in the july edge punch challenge hosted at my creative scrapbook. make sure to check it out - there is still enough time to apply!

as i mentioned above, i used basic grey's "URBAN PRAIRIE" collection - papers and chipboard. i started with the off white sheet, which i sprayed with glimmer mist "BUBBLE GUM". i also stamped some pink swirls on it.

the yellow rose and the yellow sculpture flower are from PRIMA marketing. the white one is from PETALOO. i sprayed it with perfect pearls to create the off-white colour.

i used ranger liquid pearls - PINK and WHITE, to embellish the stamped swirls. the pink chick comes from the  matching chipboard elements pack.

i used the WONDERFUL martha stewart edge punch "pansy"to create the flowery edge.

the yellow flower is from PRIMA marketing, as is the little yellow rose.

some more chipboard elements and hand-made butterflies:-)

and my title. for the word "FANCY" I used basic grey alphabet from another collection. it was light blue, but thanks to my FAVOURITE copic ciao i managed to get the colour i needed!:-) i used the chippy birdie for the word "CHICK". the pink alpha i have from a long time ago, but i really have no idea anymore from where/whom i've got it.

thanks for stopping by! i do appreciate every visit and comment!:-)

fancy pants card {guest designer @ scrapdelight}

hello bloggers!

as i mentioned in one of my previous posts, this month i'm a guest designer for a dutch scrapbook store "scrap delight". i had the PLEASURE to work with one of the NEWEST paper collections in their shop "it's the little things" from fancy pants.

i was asked to create an example for the friday card challenge and here is what i came up with:

baby b0ss {bo bunny friday layout challenge}

hello bloggers!

i want to share with you my lastest layout, based on the WONDERFUL friday challenge from BO BUNNY. this time the challenge was to use an ad from a magazine, the internet or any other place you see an advertisement that inspires you!

so, when i found this ad from EMIPIRE BABY PANTS {1954}  for baby diapers:

i couldn't resist and create a layout with this picture:

i used mainly the AMAZING bo bunny paper line "gabrielle". i added some flowers and brads from a bit older collections {from bo bunny of course}.

i turned the black & white ad into sepia to fit my colour palette; did some stitching and distressing as well:-)

the flowers are from different BO BUNNY collections {flutter butter and kitchen spice}. the brads are also from the "kitchen spice" collection. i used a lot of different ranger liquid pearls as well.

the letters are from the WONDERFUL "gabrielle" collection.

i used the note worthy journalling cards to embellish my layout:

this is also my final layout from the style lounge challenge at aussie scrap source. the style we had to copy this week was modern vintage.

i had great FUN playing along!

scrap delight - guest designer!

hello lovely friends!

i feel very honoured that i was asked to be the july guest designer for scrapdelight - a dutch online scrapbook store with an absolutely amazing selection of scrapbook supplies!

here is what i created with their latest products -

"LITTLE BUNNY"

on the pictures - my little baby ELISE with her favourite (at the time) blue rabbit.

i had these pictures for quite some time (8 years by now;-), but i never managed to find the right papers for them. when i saw the new FANCY PANTS paper line - "it's the little things" (which you can order here) - i knew in an instant that this line will be perfect for these pictures!

i started by colouring the "pecking order" sheet, which was originally black & white, but with a little help from RV95 copic ciao i made it black & pink to suit my design better!

i used a sheet of french vanilla cardstock for the second layer, which i sprayed with GLIMMER MIST {pink taffy}. the third pink layer i cut from the "humming bird" sheet.

for the borders i used MARTHA STEWART's "floral lace" edge punch and EK SUCCESS "garden flower chain" punch and "birdcage" paper.

i cut out some of the punched flowers to create a 3D effect, i embossed them and added distressed STICKLES "tattered rose" for that extra glam they needed.

the paper flowers are from the same FANCY PANTS collection. for the pink swirls i used bits and pieces from ZVA CREATIVE. i couldn't put the original swirl on, because of its size - it was way to big for the little space around the flowers i have left. so, i cut it!

here are some more close ups:

i did a lot of stitching and fussy cutting on this layout, but it was all worth it :-)
i'm pretty pleased with the result!
