hello lovely friends!
this is it - the final round of MARCH MADNESS is here!
for this round we {amanda and me} had to use the following image as inspiration:
for this round we {amanda and me} had to use the following image as inspiration:
and here is what i came up with
"CRISP BLUE WATER"
the first thing that caught my eye were the colours on the inspirational photo - the red, yellow, grey and teal just screamed WEBSTER'S PAGES to me. as you can see this is the main colour palette of the "yacht club" collection.
i had these pictures of little baby THEO considering if he should touch the water or not and the screaming after he did it {the water was pretty cold} laying around and i thought that they are perfect for this layout - to create the clustered circular elements from the photo.
to match the bright coloured pinwheels i used TIM HOLTZ' paper rosette and mini paper rosette dies.
i added little waves from hemp cord to represent the yarn balls.
i did a lot of fussy cutting on this layout - there are so many FABULOUS elements on these paper, that i just couldn't stop myself:
i used tattered angels "fanciful screens" and "frost" glimmer mist to create my background paper. the zig-zag red frame is meant to represent the square windows on the inspirational photo.
for the title i used snippets from "boardwalk":
the little heart whimsies are perfect embellishment for every layout:
and now {for the last time... this month:-)} i need your vote!
go to SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES and vote for your favourite designer - ME;-)
you've got until april 14th to submit your vote.
hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy
