color combo challenge #236

hello scrappy friends! 

thanks to all of you who played with us at the last color combo challenge #235! your entries are FANTASTIC! 

today i've got a brand new palette and a layout to share with you! this week's colour combo is kraft - mustard - grey - navy - red and here is what i have done with it:

"PARIS"

i based my layout on color combo #236: in the navy

 

to complete my layout i used all five colours from the colour palette and i chose inspiration photo #1 - focus on trend: banners - i used a banner to create my title. other inspiration: i got the idea for the pearls and the birds from inspiration photo #3: embellished fabric flowers and birds statue; from inspiration photo #4: i took the idea for the birdcage and the clocks.

i created my background using TIM HOLTZ "wild honey" distress ink, grey PANPASTEL and DONNA DOWNEY "turkish grunge" 6 x 6" mask. i stamped the edges of my paper with PRIMA markerting stamps and for the cage with birds i used kaisercraft rub-ons.

PRIMA resist canvas shapes and craft tags to create embellishments for my page. the paper is from PRIMA marketing "welcome to PARIS" collection.

the LOVELY red swirl is from FWAB "jessie flourish cherry red" and so are the blue pearls.

i cut one 12" stripe with TIM HOLTZ "washer border" die and colored it with tattered angels "dark blue" glimmer mist. i didn't spray the mist, i used brush to achieve full coverage.

 for the banner i used MAYA ROAD chipboard and pattern paper.
