little girls are HEAVEN's flowers

hello lovely friends:-)

this layout is based on the challenge going on at webster's pages inspire me site. the challenge is to create a shaped layout using webster's papers.

and here is what i came up with:

i named it "little girls are heaven's flowers":-)

to create this layout i used the following webster's pages goodies:
garden gala paper line - tea time, fresh air and refreshing
6 x 6 vellum and die cut kit
wanderfall Trim card
lullaby lane - some cut outs from the due time paper

i used the spellbinders' peony nestabillities die to create the flowery background {my new tutorial "how to get more from your spellbinders" is coming soon; so make sure to visit again soon}. i didn't use any glue when creating the background - every layer is stitched to the next one. i've wrinkled and coloured the edges to create dimension between the four layers.

for the forth layer i used a vellum and a die cut from the 6 x 6 kit:

i added some paper embellishments, cut from different webster's papers:

for the alphabet i used "upon a time" die from tim holtz. i used paper left overs from the garden gala paper line, which i coloured with copic ciao:

i hope you liked my new creation! thank you for taking the time to peek at my blog! i really appreciate every visit and comment!

easter card with PRIMA

hello lovely friends!

it's monday again and another scrappy week begins!

today, i'm sharing a card i've made with the SWEETEST paper collection from PRIMA marketing "jack & jill celebrations":

the papers are simply ADORABLE! and the stamps, the stickers... i've used a lot of my copic ciao markers. the soft palette matches completely the colours of this paper line.

i used some of the FABULOUS PRIMA e-line blossoms, which i coloured with copics too:

thanks for looking! and creative week everybody!

hugs and smiles,
Emmy

christmas joy {webster's pages}

hello lovely friends!

today i want to share my latest layout with you. i've made it for the webster's pages february traditional challenge themed "bloomers and trims". i used the "waiting for santa" paper line and the "wanderfall" trim pack:

i've decided to use one of our traditional CHRISTMAS pictures for this challenge. every year we take one picture under the christmas tree with all of us. no matter in which part of the world we are celebrating, we always have one picture with all of us on it.

and because it is CHRISTMAS and with all the celebrations and family visits around it, i never have the time to scrap those pictures. they are piling up and with new pictures coming... i think you've got the idea:-) so, this year I've decided to start early and use all of my christmas pictures in my projects. wish me luck!;-)

here are some detailed pictures:

the flying santa - i used mod podge for the first time and i love the result! it is a fantastic invention and i intend to use it again and again:-)

the deer - i've cut out different details from different papers to be able to create my frame. i personally love the deer!

the christmas star - i trimmed my tree with stickles diamond, blue trim and the ADORABLE yellow webster's flowers.

some more cut outs and some more glitter.

the christmas balls - i cut them out from the FA LA LA paper, i added mod podge and some ribbon.

and my final touch - coming from the webster's stickers - "family traditions"!

thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!

i TRULY appreciate it!

hugs 'n smiles,

love music, love to dance

hello lovely friends!

one more month passed by with many EXCITING challenges. and again i'm playing with PRIMA's BAP challenge. i just can't stop!:-) it is quite simple - the sketches are AMAZING and i ADORE all of their products!:-)

this month sketch was a bit tricky - you had to create a big heart shape as your background and you had to use 3 pictures:

and here is what I came up with:

i called it "LOVE music, LOVE to dance". on the pictures is my little ANGEL ELISE, when she was almost a baby and she loved to dance - if there was music, she would be dancing. i took many, many, many pictures of her dancing, but she looks so cute in her ballerina outfit, that i couldn't decide (for years now) which are the most nicest ones. so, you see, this 3-pictures-sketch was just made for me:-)

i used the SWEET "jack and jill" paper line - 30 x 30 sheets and the 6 x 6 paper pad (for the die cuts and the flower).

the heart is created entirely from E-LINE flowers - different shapes and sizes, and one of the CABANA PETALS to add some colour:-)

i've created this flower using the "tattered florals" die from tim holtz and the PRIMA "jack and jill" pebbles. i've added gesso and "spun sugar" distress ink to my pictures to create a frame without putting more paper layers.

i've tried different alphas for my title, but nothing looked quite right. so, i've decided to use my hand writing.  the BIGGEST challenge here was to make the letters equal:-) i've stamped the pink frame with PRIMA song bird clear stamps.

i hand stitched some notes to add extra music look and feel to my project:-)

have a WONDERFUL march everybody!:-)

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy

PS i just spotted my layout on PRIMA's blog! YAY!!!

MME blog challenge #20: love everything about

hello crafty friends,

here is the february sketch challenge from MME. one more of anam stubbington's LOVELY sketches, themed "love everything about...":

here is my take on the sketch:

the picture was taken on my 30st birthday party, where the theme was "BE A FAIRY TALE CREATURE". i'm dressed like TINKERBELL and my hubby is CINDERELLA next to me:-)

for this layout i've used paper from two vintage MME paper lines - "bella bella" and "bohemia". i've stitches a lot (again) on this layout. there is also a lot of glitter and all of the accents are sprayed with perfect pearls:-)

to create the butterfly i used the AMAZING martha stewart "monarch butterfly" punch and for the flowers -  the "tattered florals" die from tim holtz.

the heart is made with the newest die from marianne design.

some die cuts from the MME "bohemia" paper line - bungalow "the two of us"

for the title i used the "wonder" quote (a present from CARLA from simpel scrappen - the best scrapbook store in the netherlands:-). i had two of those, but they were with blue letters, so i coloured the letters pink, added some glitter and cut out only the title to create the 3d effect.

and of course, i hope i will be the lucky winner this month:-)

january BAP {prima marketing}

hello bloggers!

today i want to share my latest layout with you. it is based on the january BAP sketch from PRIMA marketing:

i used the LOVELY "jack and jill" paper line from PRIMA marketing. the soft colours and sweet design were just perfect for THEO's baby picture. i stamped the border with the "jack & jill" collection stamp and colorbox brown ink pad. then i made my "PENNY blossoms", using the 6 x 6" paper pad from the same collection. i cut my blossoms with the WONDERFUL "tattered florals" die from tim holtz.

as you can see i've stitched a lot on this layout - with my all time FAVOURITE DMC metallic stranded cotton tread. i coloured the rhinestones with COPIC CIAO.

the blue PENNY blossom is also hand-made by me. for the center i used a pebble from "jack and jill" collection pebbles. they are so CUTE!

for the title i used INKADINKADO alphabet stamps and some STICKLES glitter glue.

well, that's about it:-)

i'm off to my scrappy corner now:-)

hugs 'n smiles
