at the end of the rainbow

hello scrappy friends!

today i've got a very special layout to share with you!

few days ago i saw a rainbow and the first thing that popped up in my mind was the saying "at the end of every rainbow, there is a pot of gold". and then {as usually happens} my thoughts went to gold - treasure - my precious - THEO and ELISE! and this is how the idea for this layout was 'born'.

i really enjoyed putting all the bits and pieces together and i LOVE the result!

so, here it is - my newest creation -

quite a long list with flowers, eh:-)

i started with white cardstock - i punched its edges with martha stewart "cherish" punch around the page set and painted the rainbow with acrylic paint:

then i stitched the frame with different colours DMC thread, coloured the rest of the cardstock with TIM HOLTZ' "broken china" distressed ink pad and begun arranging the colours.

first, the red:

then, the orange:

the yellow:

the green was a bit difficult - can you find the little fish?:-)

light blue:

dark blue - i added some hand made crochet flowers:

and the purple colour:

the complete rainbow:

i used the cutest PRIMA collection ever - jack and jill - for my fussy cut embellishments:

and of course some of the amazing PRIMA butterflies:

i hope you liked today's post! it was a bit long one, but i just had to share those extra pictures!

have a lovely SUNDAY!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy
