smile {webster's june digi challenge}

hello bloggers!

here is my entry for the AMAZING june digital / hybrid challenge going on at inspire me:

the challenge was to create a layout using the WONDERFUL yacht club digital collection, either 100% digital or hybrid. for hybrid you just have to print out a digital element and use it on your layout.

and this is EXACTLY what I did:-)

i've printed some of the yacht club digital elements (the light house and the banners) and few digital tickets and used them as embellishments on my layout.

i used some elemnts from other LOVELY webster's paper lines as well: postcards from Paris {the air balloon}, lullaby lane {the little girl}.

for the background i used a white card stock, which i sprayed with two colors glimmer mist {sunflowers and frost}. i added a paper doily and little blue dots with ranger liquid pearls:

the title letters are also from another webster's pages collection - {waiting for santa}. i just added glitter:-)

the PRETTY roses are from maya road {i think}:-)

i hope you have enjoyed this post as much as i have had making it!
till the next time!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy

‘let’s keep creating!’ cuddly buddly digi challenges: #1 "a brand new"

Hello crafty friends!

as you can remember a few weeks ago i announced that i'm part of the new challenge team at CUDDLY BUDDLY and today is the day of the 1st challenge!

it’s an exciting new beginning and to get us all started katie wants to challenge us to create ‘a brand new’ themed project. it could be a wedding, new baby, new home, new job, new year or even a new craft tool that you’ve just treated yourself to. whatever the occasion, if it fits the ‘BRAND NEW’ theme then let’s see what you can come up with, please!

here is my example - "a brand new... life together":

i used the lilyboo designs digi stamps – "tree of hearts", some patterned paper and my favourite copic ciao of course.

you can find more DT examples on cuddly buddly's blog.

rules for play:
  • each entry must, for it’s main image, use a digi image sold by one of the artists at cuddly buddly crafts;
  • you may enter as many times as you’d like to each week so long as your project hasn't been submitted to a previous challenge at cuddly buddly;
  • you may submit your entry to other challenges across the web;
  • you will need to publish your entry on your own blog with a link to the challenge post and also display one or more of cuddly buddly's web buttons from the column on the right;
  • link your project to cuddly buddly by submitting your entry using the inlinkz service at the bottom of each challenge blog post;
  • you have until midnight GMT wednesday to submit your project/s.
if you don’t have a blog and need help getting started in blogland, then please visit us on our forum and ask for help, we’d be delighted to do what we can to assist you. it’s easy and free to start blogging with blogger and it’s entirely up to you how little or how much blogging you decide to take on, so you could open a blog just so you can play along with all the fun stuff in blogland!

the prize:
a £10 cuddly buddly crafts gift certificate to be spent as the winner/s so choose in our online shop.

the winner/s:
one winner will be chosen at random from all of the entries. if we receive over thirty entries the DT member who set the theme for the challenge will personally choose a second winner.

the winner/s will be notified by email, announced on the next challenge and listed on the winners page.

so, get your digi's and join the FUN @ cuddly buddly!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy

2 of a KIND {a moment in time}

hello lovely friends!

i want to share with you my latest layout - "2 of a KIND". it is based on the LOVELY sketch from nadia cannizzo @ once upon a... sketch challenge blog:

the challenge was to create a layout with "a moment in time" as a theme and at least 2 sentences on why my pictures are memorable.

i also used this layout to participate in the last week of the series DT challenges at  aussie scrap source. this week we had to copy the detailed layers style of the very TALANTED suzanne tonga.

so, here is my take on these challenges:

t've used the AMAZING "jack and jill" paper line from PRIMA marketing. i started with a white cardstock, which i sprayed with glimmer mist {coffee shop}. i coloured also my white paper dolie with the same mist.

i've created my layers by using martha stewart and ek success punches and different colours paper. some stitching, inking and distressing:-)

for the butterflies i used PRIMA marketing "green leaf" and some stickles glitter glue and ranger liquid pearls.

this is my journalling:-) for me, the moment i saw my precious babies for the first time is the most important time in my life. on the pictures - ELISE and THEO just a few hours after they were born. i used JACK and JILL to indicate who is who!:-)

the pink bird is from PRIMA. it was white originally, but with some bubble gum mist you can colour almost anything:-) the sign board is made with WEBSTER's PAGES cling stamp set {today's special}.

here are some more close ups from different details:

i had a lot of fun making this layout! this is my first time @ OUAS, but i'm definitely going to continue playing!

have a scrappy day!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy
